I am surpisingly impressed with the new direction of Balmain. I expected the signature edge and sexuality to be sacrificed in favor of bold experimentation. However, it seems all that's been added is the "fashion". Decarnin had the tendency to send expensive department store garments down the runway. Rousteing, however gave us interesting volumes, geometric necklines and most importantly fresh vision. I am in awe.

@Clariccy I see Balmain, but I don't see Decarnin anywhere in this collection. The vision is a fresh take on the familiar Balmain signature: sexy, rock chic. Its in the details, but if you can't see a difference between this season and last season, I can't help you.
