A stray cat that gets fed everyday and love? That has to be the happiest cat ever! Cats loving being outdoors, love to roam - I have indoor cats and I'm sure they'd love freedom, lol
ziggyiguana is absolutely right. FeLV and Feline AIDS are terrible deaths for a cat, and they're spread very between cats by simple bites. You have an OBLIGATION to take proper care of your current pets by being very careful about exposing them to strays. As much as we pet lovers want to, we just can't save every animal, particulary at the detriment of our current furkids.
Umm bringing in Hello Kitty could give your inside only kitties dangerous diseases like FeLV so yeah, the people complaining can suck it, you;re just watching out for the welfare of your kitties :)
The cat looked fat, happy and healthy. She seems fine outside. Many cats live their whole lives outside as long as they can find shelter they do well. They tend not to live as long as indoor cats but hey, life is hard, ya know.
I totally agree, stray cats are not house cats, they are accustomed to living outside and can survive just fine with a nice family like you feeding them sometimes! If you let that grown stray cat inside, I doubt it would stay for long anyway...
You go Joel. As for stray cats they do have homes they usually smell the other cats in ur house and stay around. We have 2 cats female and male and we have at least 3 stray cats hanging around cause of the female cat we have.
You go Joel!!! It's your house. Are they gonna come over & clean up the mess Hello kitty could make? You are treating that cat in a very humane way. Yes, it's a stray..STRAY!! You are feeding it. What moew do they want from you? I think your response was correct!! Awesome!!
I dont think that anyone needs a reason to know why hello kitty isnt allowed in your home. I think that it is your business. At least you are feeding it and taking care of it anyway. so what are they o so worried about.
That's so awesome! lol If the people want the strays tell them to come take care of them. At least you are feeding them. I'm a cat lover so it's not like I'm hating on anyone.
Right on..... You doing good by providing food for them. I already of 3 cats of my own, and currently feeding a few neighborhood strays at my door step, but that's where that ends. It's costing me a fortune, but at least I make sure they eat and know in my heart that I can help them with food.
Those folks can suck it!..lol I agree, stray cats are noting to mess with. Someone I know got scratched by a cat and their hand swole up real bad. Had to have surgery to remove the cysts that grew from infection or something. She could have lost her hand.
RIGHT ON Joel, that is my favorite phrase! People so concerned with the Hello Kitty's well being should be equally concerned with the potential risk to your other indoor lovers. FAMILY FIRST, lol! It's sweet that you guys take the initiative to ensure Kitty's belly lion has noms regularly!
I guess I'll be the outlyer and say that if you don't want that sweet obviously domesticated cat trying to come inside then stop feeding it. People are abandoning their pets left and right because of the economy so I wouldn't assume it belongs to someone. It may have belongeD to someone and now it's counting on you. Ask your neighbors and see if they know its story. If you don't want it take it to a shelter and give it a chance with a family that will adopt. Give Hello Kitty a chance at luv
I think its nice that Joel agrees to feed the cat on occasion..alot of people would just ignore it..Godbless you & Joel for having the heart to feed it when you do:)
he is an awesome husband!!!!!!! you two were truly blessed to find eachother. just out of curiosity, are there any plans to have any little Joels or miniature massage goddesses? i'll bet you'd make beautiful babies.
@pepsiann Childless by choice, but thanks! Joel designs gas turbines to run on alternative fuels, we are big on recycling and such... we may adopt one day, the ultimate in recycling LOL!
how lucky that the stray cats are getting fed and attention from you. I think more people should feed, them. I have my cat inside the house and on occasion have fed a stray cat that has shown up on my door.
really why are people always telling you how to live ur life???? if they are so upset about it than maybe they should go to your house and pick up hello kitty and take care of hello kitty themselves... If you brought in every stray animal you wouldn't be able to afford food for u or them or the house...
@Xweighted1 I agree.. it was just starting to seem preachy and we do take really good care of hello kitty and for all I know it has a family and is just double dipping
I have been following Massagegoddess for about two months now and are noticing people being negative towards her. It really gets on my nerves because this entire wls surgery community ifsmade to encourage our fellow friends and I have just been seeing a lot of bashing. We should help each other instead of criticizing every little thing. She is allowing us to enter her world to help others. Lets be supportive. It may be in good fun but obviously it upset her or she wouldn't have made this
How sweet are you! I hope you can enjoy the community without allowing everything said on here "get on your nerves." Unfortunately, stick around long enough and you'll see some REALLY mean things said, you just have to learn to roll with it.
Like I said, i read it as some good natured "ribbing" & the same with Joel posting this follow up. Maybe your right and she was upset.
On a personal note: best of luck your journey. I look forward to keepign up with you as you go
Yeah, keep the stray out. I let a stray in once and learned my lesson... little sucker brought in some fleas! Lesson learned, just leave the food outside, Hello Kitty will be just fine. :)
I'm with Joel on this..Unless you plan on making hello kitty part of your family and get him to the vet..He should stay out. He could make your indoor cats ill. I think its very nice you feed it. Hello Kitty seems to be very sweet.
I kind of agree w/ Joel in a way 4 a different reason, we fed a stray for a couple years & he adopted us, he would come in on occasion, so we took him 2 the vet & got him shots & a well check, did flea treatments & burned off an occasional tick, he would often spend the night but spent the majority of his time being an outdoor cat. We had a neighbor that called a "rescue group" 4 him, 4 what? He was 16 lbs and we kept him groomed, he hardly needed rescuing because he CHOSE to roam the streets.
its your cat you do what you want with it. besides, cats are industrus at finding food like mice. here in alberta they have cat licences so all cats have to be licenced wether they are indoor or out door cats. personally I dont even like it when my dogs track dirt in to the house when they have been out side so in my opinon stray cats stay out side.

LOL Great response. I wouldn't let a stray cat in either. I have 3 (plus 1 temporary) cats living in the house.. last thing I need is another colour of hair all over my couches!!!
Hi are you going to make any new videos? I haven't seen one In a long time, where have you been?
