Tell ya what works way better. Take a ping pong ball fill it with strike anywhere match heads. Place a small rock or steel nut in the middle before filling it the rest of the way. Wrap it tight in black tape several times. Throw that thing and watch it explode with the sound of a 12 guage shotgun and shoot out fire.

You know what? That is a very good question. Last time I made one of those was in 1980, lol. I threw the ping pong ball as far away from me as I could. When it hit the road it exploded with a huge Bang! I bet that rock or steel nut went flying too. Make sure to throw it as far away as possible. Beleive me, it will attract attention.

if u guys want better effect simply add more matches, i use two boxes put them together and do everything he explains just with twice the amount of matches...mine sounded like a few pohas going off, but can also do same effect with cap gun powder...which im gonna go get now so yeh... hav fun

spray a match box with axe take one lit match and light the box and rune 5-10 feet away it explodes...make sure ur on concre ground or it wil make a fire

Yeah, That was pretty good, but too much work.. Another tip for future reference is have your cameraman set up the camera on a Tripod or something from a safe distance and zoom in so that when you run, he can focus on the effect...

pretty good results for that kind of match bomb, cheack out my match head bomb, a lot more time consuming to make but a larger bang aswell!
