Mr. Waxman, this committee, and our government in the U.S. continue to waste time, money, and effort on 'issues' that should not concern them. We have soldiers dying overseas, criminals breaking into our country, and a host of other 'issues' that warrant attention from our leaders and lawmakers that DO NOT include hauling baseball players to Washington D.C. Bring the troops home!

The 110th Congress, already a "do-nothing" Congress, dips further into irrelevance. While the nation confronts threats from jihadists, these fools are discussing steroid use in baseball? I wonder if the Founders ever conceived of such a dramatic departure from the expressed powers embodied in Article I of the Constitution. As always, Mark Twain said it best: "Suppose you were an idiot. And suppose you were a member of Congress. But I repeat myself."

I'd say at least the Yankees' previous 8 titles were horribly tainted by cheating, steroids, umpires, that and the "legal" cheating where they are allowed to monopolize the game with their big market buying power. The Yankees essentially run baseball behind the scenes, EVERYTHING is favorable to them. The Tampa Bay Rays is one of the most glaring examples. The Red Sox have similar conditions favoring them, but not as much. The game needs seriously cleaning up starting with the NEW YORK YANKEES.

This subject is a colossal waste of time. Parents are responsible for their kids not congress. This is truly a dog and pony show. Are your kids' artificial heroes using drugs? DON'T MAKE THEM HEROES.
