Debra Medina is for raising the tax base in texas from 8.25% to 12.55%. It other words, everything you buy and or services you use, is taxed 13 cent on the dollar. 13 cents don't sound like much to many, but a company that is dealing with million a day, that's a lot. Companies will just move to state with lower taxs. As well as she wants to tax anything and everything that isn't taxed now. That's including food, healthcare, healthcare insurance(like it don't cost to much already)

Not to mention that there are many ways around not paying sales tax, can't say the same for property taxes. And by the way, companies do not care how much the sales tax is as long as their customers keep buying their products. A company collects the sales tax from its customers, they do not pay it. A companies pass all taxes to its customers, all taxes!
