this is to anyone willing to answer, im planning on getting this game before playing darksouls but im wondering what class would be best, i've never been hands on with this game but i've played a fair share of RPG's dragon age, oblivion etc. in those games i like to play as warriors who aren't too heavy but can take a hit, and have the ability to dodge around a bit to escape dangerous situations. Wanderer or royal seem to fit that but i'd like some experienced feedback, thanks!

This game would be perfect if it wasnt for the part where u die and have to start over at the begining of the level with nothing. What it needs is checkpoints and not lose all ur souls u got. Nice graphics and battle setup but the dieing is what made me say fuck it.

What a fun game sunk 230+ hours in it and thought every minute was worth it in the end, but sadly i sold it after completing the game over 100 times. Stll fun and may get it again, if able.

Ok Heres some pros and con's of demon's souls

Pro's are Great level design, fantastic music, challenging and has loads of replayablity. (Clocked in 230 hours)

Cons: It is hard (to the point of it being called "fake difficulty") some times the controls may lag (though because of lots of enemies usually). can't really think of anything else, but i do recommend this game if you like a hard Arpg, if not it may not be for you. Psn Dakumu to discuss more

@picker886 Royal's are the best starting class. They start with a mana regenerating ring and soul arrow with a very powerful catalyst. Makes short work of most level 1 bosses excluding 3-1, and some level 2 bosses (Ex 1-2). Overall it's how you play at the beginning of the game really.

Defenseive= Knight

Speedy=theif

ranged=Royalty

This is my opinion, but royalty is the best to start with.

I played this the whole way, the first time was the best experience ive had since monster hunter, however after i completed it the new game+ is ridiculous the enemies on 1-1 take a quarter of my health, and you know what? I FUCKING LOVE IT

@pablow2310 When you get past NG+ it becomes ridiculously easy though, up until you NG+ after getting 99 in all stats. (Since monsters still scale up but you can't level up)a fter which (eventually) mobs will 1 hit you.

My dad saw a playthrough of this, and at one point, the person was standing under a shack, and as soon as they stepped out from under it a dragon stomped on them and killed them. And then he had to go through the underworld to come back to life, which may end up being what you do for most of the game.

If you can handle ninja gaiden, you defininately can handle demons souls. a lot of difficulty from demons souls does not origininate from combat itself - more from the loss of currency at death, and the huge price to pay on a second death, which in turn makes the game significantly harder.
