@LemonCurdAddict1234 MrBean35000vr was on Wario's gold mine one day with a speed hack and he went up the blue strip jump and landed near the trigger point in the cave. This would have put him into first place so he went across the finish line to see if the lap counted, but it didn't, so he tried again, going back a bit to find a checkpoint and then went back to cross te finish line and the lap finally counted. I'm sure that was how the shortcut was born.

Ummm.. how do people actually FIND these glitches in the first place? I mean, unless you were deliberately hunting for glitches (and even then it would be difficult) there's no way whatsoever you'd find this without a hack, since the things you have to do are so precise, and the timing has to be so exact, it seems literally impossible that this was found by accident. Can someone enlighten me, please?

If not, its because you have to hit the second pole when you get there. if it still doesnt work tell me.

you have to manually jump( you would have to be in "manual" to do it) its real but it takes sometime to acually get it right

I always go too far and can only get it once. I find it difficult to bounce up from the pipe. I do do it but it's too short a jump and such.

This reminds me of the glitches in Mario Kart 64, particularly the one in Frappe Snowland.

It took me some time to remember what the spin-turn controls are as I use the Wii Wheel. It's 1+2, or B+2, if anyone's curious. Of course, there's no equivalent to holdng down on the stick, so I suppose that means the pipe jump is impossible.

well this is amazing i have already mastered the first part with the mushrooms btw you can do it with other characters too not just heavy ones

with lighter characters you need a bit more of a run way so just line your self up for the jump and then back up a little
