Yes, you could get the HPP package on the Grand Marquis. My particular model also came with the "Ultimate" package. This adds the (controversial) digi-dash, EATC, compass rear view and a few other goodies. Strangely, the original buyer did the old CD stereo delete thing - not sure why as he bought everything else. When I got her, she had 42K on the odometer. She know has 160K and looks damn near as good as she did when this video was taken.

I did not realize that you could get a "police package" or the HPP with a Mercury. Mercurys were always a much nicer looking car with a better trim package. I wanted to know if a P71 could be built with the LX luxury paciage. That would be a nice ride. Enjoy.

Your car reminds me of my 1996 Grand Marquis LS HPP I put aftermarket LX Sport wheels on with 235/55-17 tires. Mine had digi dash, EATC, dual power seats, premium sound with factory amp, keyless entry, pretty much every option except leather.

Regardless of the preformance, that is a pretty car. It it had the genuine police package, that would be a real sleeper and make them shake their heads at the stoplight. Your wheels are cool as well. Interesting comment about losing performance if the wheels are too large in diameter. Makes sense, though.

A "real police package" Crown Victoria from the same year would be no faster, they are rated at the exact same hp/tq, and the HPP car actually sits lower than the police model since it doesnt have to carry hundreds of pounds of crap in the trunk (and if it does it has self leveling rear air suspension the P71 doesnt have) or jump curbs.

The rims definitely step it up. I still got the grandpa rims on my '98. I've seen 'em with mustang rims too. Not sure which I like better.

@MrLaderion its a bitch dude but there is a port.... on the passanger side under the carpent goin up twords the glove box... shit sealed tight so u will need a drill bit... becarful drillin threw i thow there a lots of wires that u dont wanna cut by mistakebut there is plenty of room to do it safly... it took me a cupple hours to figgure all that shit out but i know how to do it in side and out now if u have any other wuestions bro ill help you out no prob

@MrLaderion When we wired my friends, we just ran it through the passenger door. Go from batt. and stay on the passenger side of car then try to feed it through the crack where the door opens. No holes or drilling. It was a '92

305 hp in the Marauder, GM and CV are 250, same engine size cept the Marauder uses the same engine setup of the Mach 1 mustang or Cobra N/A
