With all the Asus Netbooks run with no Antivirus. This gves far more speed. To replace the AV, use gMail and Google Chrome, replacing the AV. Has been tried for years on these netbooks with no problems.

No, I just did a research on that (I'm pretty fresh in the netbook-world).

The difference between the N-series and the Z-series is that Z is much smaller physically and has a TPD on 2.0W, and N-series have a TPD from 2.5W to 4W on the solocore-models. And I can assure you that 0.5W in TPD is a whole lot of difference when it comes to battery life, but it is at cost of performance...

i need help asap it says i like need to restart by pressing 'r' and everytime i do that it loads for a second then it just like goes to the same screeen like windows/something/ insert cd rom or something but there is no place to put the cd rom

i prefer 1101HA because: large 11.6" LED HD screen / graphics card can play FULL HD videos / cpu can be overlocked at 1.77GHz

1101HA is best by far in most peoples opinion including mine. Higher resolution, larger screen, more battery life and a bigger HDD.

They have a graphics card, but they don't support GPU acceleration for smooth Full HD play.

Ah, so just general stuff. I would have to recommend the 1005ha over this just because I feel the 1101HA is a little slow, esp with Windows 7 on it now. 1005ha is a great choice.

I'd like to know as well... because even my stationary PC has a hard time with it... while it's not new, it's at least twice the ghz of this little puppy...

It easily handles 720p and 1080p video, but you need Windows 7. It does not do HD Flash well at all though.

1101HA has Intel GMA 500 as it's GPU, which plays HD videos.

Yeah it does but it doesn't come out of the box with two fingered scrolling. You need to install some files. Unless they are starting to add this feature out of the box now....

I Don't think it works out of the box if you use Windows... But it does work out of the box if you use Linux (Ubuntu netbook remix for example). I have a EEE-PC 1000 and it works great for me.... check it out.

BTW, I think I am going to order one. I have been considering a netbook for school - I have a macbook, but its too big/heavy to haul easily around NYC subways and such, and also is about $2000 so I would have a heart attack if I dropped it or something. This looks like an inexpensive and convenient netbook to haul around without too much added weight.

No displaying of 1080P content, just like any other portable device which is HD ready. Don't forget you can always hook up an external display.

You're confusing playing vs displaying. It can play 1080P HD video though it can't fit the whole 1080P resolution on the screen.
