  • is it just me, or did 0:07 sound pretty dirty?

  • we use the snare part i the begining for the streetbeat at both middle and high school level the basses accompany and tenors have almost the smae rythym just around the drums

  • If anything I would say this is more of a snare beat than anything.

  • Nice shirt Mike...

  • Jeff Queen...

saw him live he's so sick.

    gahh

  • i think scojo misses his scv days. looks like he's digging this groove...

  • Who all was on this line? I know Gusseck, Queen and McNutt were, but weren't there other now legends?

  • @thealexbraud

Snare: Leon Tagawa, Nick Angelis (went on to star 93, Blast, BK 95 ), Tim Dent, Walter Powell (center), Chip Webster, Jon Weber, Jeff Queen (Blast, BK 95). Tenors, Matt Altmire, Colin McNutt (tenor tech star 93), Murray Gusseck, Mark Campbell and Mike Apodaca, Bass top to bottom: Camden McConnell, Kevin Erickson, Bill Campbell, Andy Landervill Vince Gardner (Cadets 93)

  • @SeanChaney Dang. The center snare must have been a monster if Nick Angelis and Jeff Queen were on this line.

  • they need to put :50 - 1:00 back in. it was beast!

  • @Mattacus94 agreed! this is the only vid i can find with it this way.

  • this is the best version and its the oldest lol

  • @MikeGiunta i agree. this version is way better than the 2003 version

  • Is that tenor solo thing before the skank groove is that split??? at like 0:50 I cant tell if they split it or not. Those split scrapes are sick though. This whole tenor line is sick.

  • dan100. either that crowd is awe struck or dumb. cause scvs drumline has always kicked ass. ESPECIALLY HERE

  • yeah drmrguy1979. you can deff tell its not Gusseck's cause he has that distinct way of writing. and you can obviously tell thats gusseck in the middle cause if you watch the video everyone looks down at one point to see what they're doing but him.

  • i've always loved tenor waltz. it sounds cool and looks badass...

  • damn, what a tough crowd . . . :/

  • Does anyone have the tenor sheet music for "Electric Wheelchair"?

  • ya, i kinda noticed it wasn't identical when the bass drum part was mostly all together, when scv has all lot of changes up and down the bass drums

  • hey guys, I HAVE THIS SHEET MUSIC! And out of the kindness of my heart, i will end the tragic search for this sheet music for no charge whatsoever. You may not believe me but if you follow these steps, you will find the sheet music for this piece. Go to yahoo! answers and type in, "sheet music for electric wheelchair?" and go to the first question that pops up. The best answer shosen by the user will have two links at the end of it. Click on the first of the two. you're welcome.

  • big ass tenor mallets

  • love this piece

  • im sorry but the street beat tenor solo does not fit at all in this cadence, kida ruins it

  • @Kmanflyaway I have to disagree.

  • @Kmanflyaway No, not at all. It doesn't fit too much, but I've been searching for a video with that quad break forever, because I love it that much. I don't know why, but it's fucking awesome.

  • if any 1 has this sheet music, i will trade SCV double beat 4 it!!!

  • aah. this is great. wish i had sheets..

  • Why do people call it a tenor "waltz"?... A waltz implies a 3/4 time signature, which that is not...

  • i wish people didnt do that 0:08-0:10

  • Yeah, it's kinda rude. Do you think maybe it was the staff, though?

  • yeah could've been the staff but if it was the crowd its like, get up there and lets see you do it better. its the reason why your watching them instead of being in it cause your no good enough to be in SCV.

  • i was always thinking they were amazed by that lick. but now that your say that, that could also be another possibility

  • i heard him. he said awhwhwhw he killed it. so thats good.

  • Actually, there was a bit of dirt. So I think the crowd was 'calling' that out, which was what me and LilAznMui commented on. Personally, I feel that the 1992 drumline was badass, dirt or no dirt.

  • yea! tenor waltz at 0:51.

    Go UMass

  • You know i get an erection when i here a Super Ass clean drumline I i think i feel one coming on XD Keep it going guys! !!

  • Soooooooo clean

  • was Gusseck on the line this year?

  • He aged-out this year. He's in the center.

  • Wow! Remarkable This is The CLEANEST Version of Electric Wheelchair Nice Going!

  • can somone get me music for this please??

  • first off electric wheelchair was written by Murray Gussek as was martian mambo. If you want music for it, its all in a book put together by Gussek called Parking Lot Etudes. The copy I have was published by Tap Space or something like that. And most of the stuff in there is not achievable by high school drumlines. And what the hell is a section master?

  • My school does this cadence!

Although, ours is more like the solo of crazy army done by a set drummer

  • I'm pretty sure that your high school attempts it, but like I said below I am 99.9% sure that your high school will never achieve the cleanliness that you can see and hear above.

  • Well, like I said. Its also not the same version. Its actually surprisingly, extremely tight.

But if you wanna see something closer to what we actually do, just do a search for crazy army.

  • But I should add that we do our version at a steady march tempo. So its not as fast.

  • i love that waltz lick they made up... it's better than the "on the fly" licks they make up now...

  • my band sucks too much to do this

  • tough crowd.... ...tough crowd...

  • I love how this cadence has become the whore of every marching band ever. My band does it, and it sounds pretty cool.

  • My high school drumline doesn't even have the music for this. I'm pretty sure section masters haven't ever heard of this.

  • if they havent, they need help.

  • Yeah, seriously.

I think we have it this year, though. Pretty rad.

  • Murray is a drumline compositional God.

  • holy old school!! nicccceeee

  • interesting tenor technique, they lift the butt up a little then the tip/mallet/head(whatever is is).

  • i think that's called the moeller technique.

  • Yes sir. It's really good for fast stuff. I use it, I like it a lot.

  • (Morrison, Rodriguez, and Lohmiller were brass instructors) :}

  • classic line

  • if anyone would like the sheet music for this email me! sorry i dont have the bass music tho

    azb_assassinz @ yahoo dot com

  • SCV '92, ah yes...they had the most deliciously inhuman tenor line on the planet Earth, imo.

  • hahaha

  • This was written by Murray Gusseck. Comes straight from the score. To buy this cadence, go to tapspace (dot) com, browse until you find "Downloadable Sheet Music". From there, you can buy this, among others.

  • Kevin Murray wrote this exercice. He also wrote Dick that's why it sounds pretty similar.

  • It's actually Murray Gusseck who wrote this cadence.

  • I agree with Cambodia, this is hands-down the best electric wheelchair. I hate the new crap they added in, and the new sticking. This one right here is stuff. I can't get enough of this one. GO SCV!!!(even though I'm trying out for Spirit)

  • lol i saw scv and the lead snares a girl shes really good anyone know her name?

  • I like this version better than the new one

  • Murray write this exercise didn't he? Dave Gary used to teach the line for the band I was with back in 95. Man did that guy have some stories.

  • I believe Murray wrote this exercise if I'm not mistaken. This was the 25 anniversary line and they had some awesome players. Scott Johnson was the tech no?

  • Murray Gusseck is the right center tenor player this year.

  • this, in my opinion, is the best EC there is, nuff said

  • pretty super SCV wheelchair here. But is this the line who burned the mess out of it and played it so clean? Cause they do plat that different tenor lick in there.
