Here is the problem, you say kill a deer not a wolf. But when elk numbers drop from WOLVES, livestock and deer are next on the list. This is exactly why wolves do not work in our small ecosystems. The wolves here in Idaho have wiped out our elk in units 14,15 and 16a I know for a fact. These are units I spend an significant amount of time in. Now it seems the wolves are turning on our whitetail populations. It's very sad.

Good video. The only question is how low can the elk/deer populations get? If we get a strong winter, that can wipe out a lot of the population by itself. It's going to be a sad story if we let the wolves take away the wildlife that we have always had.
I remember watching how with the wolf returning to yellowstone, the elk weren't allowed to graze in some areas, and that allowed the local flora and fonna(sp?) to grow and mature, and seed, like they hadn't been able to in the past without the wolf. I think the wolves are important to the ecosystem in ways, and wish the feds would kill off the grey wolves in Idaho, Montana, etc. and reintroduce timber wolves back into the wild. The mexican wolf is closer the the native species than the grey.

The wolves here in Idaho have wiped out our elk in units 14,15 and 16a I know for a fact. These are units I spend an significant amount of time in. Now it seems the wolves are turning on our whitetail populations. It's very sad.

I remember watching how with the wolf returning to yellowstone, the elk weren't allowed to graze in some areas, and that allowed the local flora and fonna(sp?) to grow and mature, and seed, like they hadn't been able to in the past without the wolf. I think the wolves are important to the ecosystem in ways, and wish the feds would kill off the grey wolves in Idaho, Montana, etc. and reintroduce timber wolves back into the wild. The mexican wolf is closer the the native species than the grey.
