Okay so there I was at the PAF museum in Karachi. There is an airbase right next to the museum so I had seen some F7's and Alouette helis flyby while i was outside of the museum building looking at the ground air defense vehicles outside. So i enter the gift shop at the end of visit and suddenly everything starts shaking. I think to myself this is too loud to be just an f7. I rush outside and I see one of these il-78's takin off just about 300 feet above my head. Roared like a lion. beautiful.

@Faraz70 no mate now pakistan have it 2 il 78`s and 2 more on order anyway pakistan bought 25 eurocopter tiger and new cobra gunships as well with bvr capability....read the new reports man any way FYI pakistan is upgrading its fighter fleet for air to air refueling too c-130 is for cargo use :)

I think they should have waited a little longer to get these planes. I mean, whats the point having them if you have nothing to refuel? The only aircraft that can be refueled are a few mirages and F-16s, which cannot be refueled with this plane anyways. Usually countries buy aircraft that can be refueled, then buy the tankers. Now Pakistan is going to have to apply refueling probes to its mirages, and by the time they are finished the mirages will be retired. Great way to spend our money right?
