I look forward to the day when "coming out" stories have no real significance but rather be a matter of course for a family circle in those cases. To that end I think the character of whom you love is far more significant than their gender.

Our stories are pretty similar actually. I never really had to "come out of the closet". I'm pretty sure that my family, or my mom at least, knew before I did.

And some of my coworkers found out, cuz they always see me with my girlfriend. I think one of my coworkers had a crush on me. And a different coworker, who's a good friend of hers saw me at a gay bar and told her. And another coworker of mine recently asked if the girl I was with all the time was my girlfriend. Everyone at my work is cool to me about it. And it helps to know that a couple of my other coworkers are gay as well. I'm glad others "outed" me, cuz it made things a lot easier for me.

Wow, it is amazing how a pretty normal curiosity about sex, reflected in wanting to watch a TV show on lesbian sexuality ended up so quickly determining your sexual orientation.
