  • 0:21 for a epic shit

  • how do you reload? and how long? Electronic? So where do i get the energy from? What if we run out of energy?

  • am i the only one who thinks it doesnt sound like a gun?

  • Hm, how long does it take to reload?

  • What is the range of this thing?

  • a despensing system (to reload bullets) is what isn't shown (for good reason, hell KFC won't tell you thier recipe) but this is great engingering that will mergre with other systems over time.

  • Maybe it will be developed further, taking the mechanics out of the equation makes sense but is it really practical. It would be a good gun to have to sink pirate ships or stop folk walking on your land.

  • @markomarten Yes, stay out! The original idea was to protect controlled areas, hence the name RADS, Restricted Area Denial System.

  • Why dont they show us the reloading part? It needs to be reloaded very fast too, its not enough to have a high rate of fire.

  • @cyberdaemon The design allows very fast reloading, you swap out pre-loaded barrels, nearly as fast as a clip/magazine in a semi-auto weapon. Metastorm website has a bunch of info, this and some other interesting stuff.

  • @dougspair I wonder when they invent tracking bullets, that lock on targets like missiles :P Damn, anyway this weapon is so deadly. You have to compare this to a small artillery instead of firearms lol. Like that one they have, that detects incoming shells and fires exactly at the position of shooter :P Can't even imagine, what army has in next 10 years, if there will be army anymore.

  • @cyberdaemon Shot on! If reloading is going to take you 5 minutes then boo hoo you dead in combat. Not made or designed by soldiers.

  • @asas2jh They already said there is a fast way of reloading metalstorm, but i dont know how...

  • what is the significant use of this thing.

  • @blardave Reducing people to goo i would imagine.

  • @blardave shoot down missiles. cheaper than missile and laser countermeasures. also its munitions cannot be jammed, lasered, flared or deflected by any known aircraft armor

  • when is this stuff actually going into service?

  • Will this be the MetalStorm that finally leads to the destruction of Jerad-Syn? The world must know!

  • Needs more dakka.

  • Most dangerous fart in the world

  • oh cool Hitler channel is now also doing pieces on modern war porn

  • now reload

  • Nice to see where all the tax dollars are going towards

  • This ain't an anti tank weapon, it's designed to strip anti ship missiles. If you want to take out a tank, use the gau8 avenger cannon that's on the a-10

  • I'd love to show up at the gun range with that thing

  • Так бы по китайцам и жить стало бы лучше ,веселее

  • if you are good try to shoot a target in movement with this gun :D all rounds in 1 sec? i bet you cant hit him

  • The problem is getting it to keep firing longer than a fraction of a second. I think this is dead air, people.

  • why do you need so many bullets

  • @xhunter628x

This box was originally designed for missile/rpg defense. The Metalstorm computers can process flight paths and MOA shots in a ridiculously small time. - Their multi-grenade launchers are ridiculous.

  • I don't see why you'd wanna fire that many rounds per minute XD There's not way you're gonna have 1 million troops coming towards you within one minute... Also Minigun/Gatlinggun > Metalstorm cause you don't have to reload as often... Also, making a weapon system that's more accurate is way better than making one that spews out bullets XD But the concept is cool :D But it's absolutely not a substitute for the Gatlinggun which he implies.

  • @elon92 It won't be used in that way. Currently the only real use is in underslung grenade launchers to stack up to 3 grenades. It's called the 3GL and can be attached to a variety of weapons including the M16.

  • @EnigmaHood Oh, that is really clever, I didnt think of that :P :) thx for sharing :D

  • roman candle

  • 0:00 deadly fart.

  • Ban-bannnnnng

Russian tank crew member: What was that?

    Guys?

  • osama bin laden: o yesh i would like to order da metal storm 100 000 000 bullet a minut gun

    general: ok sir *hangs up*

general: MEN GEAR UP FOR WW III

  • solider : holy sht i need back up

    gunner: oke im on it

gunner 2 sec later: cover me while reloading 1 milion rounds

    soldier : -_-

  • am i the only one that thinks this is a worthless idea, shooting that many rounds doesnt do any damn good when two or three will kill a man, and it would be a royal pain in the ass to reload

  • @phil656565 and now imagine this system as a CIWS, and suddenly it all makes sense. One volley creates an impenetrable wall between a ship and incoming anti ship missile. Ability to fire multiple rounds before first recoil makes it also very accurate. Btw, metal storm is just in the beginning of it's development, give them 5-10 years and we will see if it's a good technology or waste of time and money.

  • @phil656565 Well, that thing can shred a missile in the air long before it can touch ground. It can also rip through enemy armor. You must think outside the box to see its usefulness.

  • @PivotXL1 Well it could be good for missile defense, but i would see it as useless for armor. Armor piercing rounds only take one shot and are alot cheaper than this, if its heavier armor then its nothing a sabot round from a tank cant take care of. Also it would be very very difficult to hit a missile with this, consider how small the "spread" of bullets out of this is, how fast a missile is moving, and how much you have to lead it. A computer would have to perform the operation in a hurry

  • meanwhile in mississippi....

  • it'd be boss for closerange antiship missile defense.

  • dear santa...

  • what caliber does it fire?

  • @burningsponge I think that it can fire anything that you need (the military) they can use it for grenades or small or large projectiles....

  • deer santa....

  • Reminds me of what cave Johnson said, more bullet per bullet!

  • Comment removed

  • Or we could stop developing weapon technology and learn to love eachother

  • @Regginyaga but then we wouldn't have this.

  • @burningsponge I dunno I'd rather my dad be here then seeing a cool youtube video

  • @Regginyaga sorry for the loss, didn't know.

  • i remeber seeing somthing like this in a sci-fi show, it was like a 30 barreled shoulder weapon that fired thousands of bullets so rapidly that it virtually vaporized targets.

hard to believe that somthing like that could actually exist

  • i was gona do hw, so much for that

  • Russian can make more efective stoff who one only do for over thousands of ''metal storm''

  • @PS2djX The only good things Russians make are alcoholics...

  • The problem

Is how do u sustaian fire?

  • Here at Aperture science we fire the WHOLE bullet!

  • @Evolutioncrap That's 60% more bullet, per bullet!

  • Hip fire it.

  • dear Santa........FIRSTYS!

  • the one mil rpm is quite misleading...what it can really do is put 180 rounds almost instantaneously at the same target...of course if it misses...well then you have to reload 180 bullets....ha ha ha...very limited use

  • Damn!!! I'd hate to get shot with that thing

  • so they found a better way to waste money. well done.

  • compensating for something?

  • the biggest problem is overheating the reason they cant sustain the level of fire is because the barel would melt from the friction alone

  • reloading is eazy send in a unman atv loading cart its that eazy

  • I got to RELOAD!!

  • now... can you make bullet just fly off from my palm?

  • This is just a "Hundred Gun" not really a new concept. A hundred gun was essentialy a solid iron cannon with muliple bore's in it, givine it an insane volly fire potencial. This like it, has the same flaw, reload.

  • this could be useful for writting my name on stuff

  • im scared

  • Dear santa ...

  • I want one... no i want 5, actually.

  • Imagine the envy of the shooters around u at the local gun range with this! You can shoot all the targets before they could even think about pulling the trigger. Plus make them have the need to go home and change their shorts. LOL I wonder if this could work for nerf guns? HMMMMMMMM

  • monsters

  • i would buy one of these for home defence use if they sell to civilians

  • HOLLY FUCK YOUR SELF this is so cool

  • Ban-bannnnnng.

Russian tank crew member: "WTF was that?"

Tank commander: "Stupid americans just wasted 200 000 $ on us. Proceed to the objective."

  • @adrenalinqq FYI metal storm is an australian company they made this weapon.

  • @actionmantodiworl123 yup an old man invented it

  • @adrenalinqq XD

  • @adrenalinqq the goal of this is that that many rounds impacting in such time would penetrate a tank

  • @INSANEBOY63 I doubt it would penetrate but the spalling from the impact would turn the tank crew to liquid.

  • @adrenalinqq fuck you, and by the way the dollar sign goes in front of the amount, jackass

  • @adrenalinqq It's not used for that, pal. i would deploy it in perimeter defense instead of claymores

  • @adrenalinqq Thats not an American weapon dumbass thats an Australian weapon. Get your fuckin facts right before you go start hating on America.

  • @adrenalinqq rofl This thing is designed to take out tanks. Your shitty t-34 tank would disintegrate in a micro second.

  • @MsSloppyseconds i don't think that bullets can "disintegrate" a tank.

  • When you get caseless tech packaged up in a reliable pistol or rifle let me know. Until then I don't care.

  • Hmmmmmm.......... I know the Americans flatten everything with missiles, tanks, machine guns if they hear a twig break. I'm sure this will make a fine addition to their arsenal.

  • so its only as fast as the person reloading it? lol

  • @billynightmare

Wouldn't be too difficult to automate the reloading process.

  • how you reload this thing?

  • @americaisfag ah ok..hehehe..tnx

  • it cost 400.000 dolloars to fire this machine for 12 seconds

  • @nice3333333333 If it can fire for 12 seconds >.>

  • 0:52 trololol guy.

  • @strelok tymochento they reload it with lines of it attached like how it showed it in the animation.

  • this is what chuck norris takes duck hunting with

  • One million rounds per minute, alright. But how many minutes to RELOAD?

  • Is it just me... or wasn't there a weapon quite similar to this in an episode of csi miami? I think it actually made the person who got killed with it kinda disappear becase he was hit by so many bullets at the same time...

  • @silleren that weapon for now is fictional but is based off of metal storm. its how i ended up hear lol. that gun doesnt exist yet but a few things like this do

  • @sithalo yeah yeah I know the one In csi miami doesn't exist x3 but It really does reminds me of this one too ^^

  • HOLY JESUS POOP!!!

  • Heavy: I'am bulletproof!

  • How PERVERTED must the MATRIX an their SATAN-bootlicker becom, before you weake up, NEO?

  • I don't like it, but , it's a bit more surgical than a 50 megaton bomb .

  • My ass sounds like this after Chimichangas. "I'm sick, somebody help me, please, I have money".

  • This is the most visceral vibrator I have ever seen!

  • 0:52 MISTER TROLOLO !

  • @channeldennis No it's Russell Zink

  • Put*

  • Pt the beast i afghan and sit at home with your computer. Bam! Wars over.

  • Chuck Norris called.. he wants his pistol back

  • @AlDaFunkyMonkey Chuck norris called. He wants his pea shooter back.

  • It fires the whole bullet.

Thats 65% more bullet per bullet

  • @guiltyguildleader they need a combustable lemon

  • but will it blend ?

  • i wonder if we'll see that in BF3

  • id like to take that thing deer hunting ;)

  • This thing going to eat up a months supply of ammunition in a minute.

  • imagine reloading each bullet one by one on that thing..

  • @96irock96

    Why would you have to?

  • why would you need to fire so many bullets at one target...

  • @HeadSHOT604 Because shooting down a missile with a handgun isn't the most effective solution.

  • @blobloblo6 hmm makes sense but it's the military working on laser technology that to shoot missiles plus if a country get hit by a nuke or emp then it won't work anymore

  • Its a waste of ammo

  • @RSign321 Bullets were meant to be shot. Companies who produced them were paid for the bullets. The company now has more money for more bullets. Stop fucking calling it a waste.

  • @blobloblo6 So you're going to use one million bullets to take down a tank in war?

  • @RSign321 When did I say anything about a tank? I'm just tired of people complaining about a waste of things people bought in comments. If someone bought a product they can use it for whatever the hell they want.

  • @blobloblo6 Its just my opinion. Omfg, if your tired of these comments don't go to these vids, or don't reply to the comments -.-

  • this is an amazing gun, but i dont know if its fair to give it the record of highest ROF, this is a multi barreled weapon and if u were to strap 20 m16s together il bet u would have something similar

  • this thing (as i heard) is made for destroying tanks D:

  • this gun makes the minigun look like a 9mm. ratatatatatatattatatatatatatata...dead (minigun)

    DERP...drag me to hell(derp gun)

  • That fart is the sound you hear before instant death.

  • @adyot2 Hey, so are my farts!

  • australian invention

  • what if you miss?

  • whats the point of shooting the F&%$ out someone and things, when you can blow them up for allot cheaper :D

  • Yeah but you need to reload the fucker. How long does that take? Who the hell is going to load 1 million bullets in to a gun? Or carry them on a battle field? Why would you need to fire 1 million bullets in to one location? This is bullshit I don't reckon you will see this on any battlefield. Imagine how heavy it would be.

  • The ultimate trolling tool.

    U mad, terrorists?

  • LOOOL u can fire 1m rounds per sec..but u cant reload it so fast :<

  • theyll put that in bf3 for sure

  • @phoenix4465 lol next best thing since noob-tubing in call of duty, great anti gamer gun :D

  • Anyone else think that the bullets in the CG animation look like a swarm of bees?

  • 0:59

    /watch?v=pJqoRaphiEk&feature=player_detailpage#t=42s

  • This gun just farted

  • @wiithepeople2 it farted in the tuned of Baby, baby baby..ohhhhhh..

  • @wiithepeople2 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA that would be funny, when youre about to die and have a last fart sound that makes you laugh

  • @wiithepeople2 silent but deadly

  • @wiithepeople2 that is one mean fart... O.o

  • Shotguns shoot pellets. This shoot BULLETS. derp

  • Congratulations, you made a shotgun.

  • if one of these was made the size of america, well lets say it wouldn't be pretty

  • @fugdkn what a stupid comment

  • @academy97 lol

  • @academy97 LOL

  • @zimdolaer ROFL he said LOL

  • @Paladina111 roflcopter

  • @fugdkn No no no no... The size of Russia.

  • Plus where is the fun in a computer controlled gun? It turns everyone into pussies. If you were to fight wars with this then the whole army would be a bunch of nerds who are too pussy to go outside and get their hands dirty. I'd rather be out there with some bad-ass REAL guns rather than behind a computer controlling this. And it is only effective if only one side has it, otherwise it is just a bunch of computer controlled guns sitting in a field shooting at each other.

  • @bassl0va

say that again after you've been in a war...

this helps getting more soldiers back to their wife and kids without 6 planks around them.

and by the way, its gonna take some years untill this is gonna come to the battlefield (if it comes at all). rate of fire is not all and even one of the biggest reasons why miniguns arnt that useful on the battlefield (only on fast-moving vehircles)

  • @DIExxENE yeah, definitely gonna help, especially if in the NEXT war, those things were sold to the people you will be fighting then

  • @Frosty301289

that doesnt mean theire useful tho

  • What's the point? All it means is that you get out the burst of ammo you need in less time, but I bet it takes ages to reload so it balances out.

The dude says how a current machine gun can only do 6,000RPM max (M-134 minigun) that's plenty, a few seconds of burst from that will pulverize plenty of stuff, plus it can be fed from a long belt of ammo. This thing can of course destroy stuff much quicker, but there isn't much point if it takes ages to reload.

Plus these are ugly, miniguns look good.

  • seen all vids about this gun.... not a single reloading video...
