  • Very nice!

  • that v8 engine sound is so beautiful i love it.

  • the music in the back suxx, i wanna hear the engine and no homosongs :((

  • I don't get it.

The car's designed for a small block chevvy so why a rover with a blower? Can't see the point.

Also the one off AP brakes? They're a factory option on the ultima.

  • Sorry but you're WRONG.

The sports used the chevy lump as did all but the very first few can-am's.

When Lee noble sold the brand and moulds to Ted Marlow the Ultima was redesigned to accept the chevvy after losing the renault V6 of the original car.

There has never been a factory rover V8 in early OR late chasis designs.

    Check before speaking, eh?

There were some fitted by owners in place of the renault V6 but my point stands - why spend that much on a rover and not just place a chevy in it?

  • You're absolutely right the sbc is the engine recommended by the builder of the kit besides the fact that has won more races in more disciplines than all the other combined..alse the rear of the car looks like someone rubbed it too hard,:)

  • @MrSiraff

    lighter

  • this is one of the greatest and well known engines in history!!!

How could you say something like that??

  • There isn't enough space for me to reply to this but look, despite the nostalgia and history its still a plain old SOHC, 2V, Pushrod engine designed with 60's technology.

Compare this to the BMW S54, S85, or their v12 in the 850, the Nissan VRH35, or the RB,VG,VQ,VH series, Toyota 2JZ, or even a Ford modular as much as I hate to admit.

Seriously, look at a powertec v8 someday and then ask yourself why people would ever put a rover engine in an ultima..

  • your point is valid. but these cars a shipped and contructed by the owner. over 70% of owners have never built before. they are designed to suite the small block chev. including the LS7.

otehr people who are more confident have used other engines. each to there own i guess.

  • They're friggin' stupid, why the hell would they remove the spoiler? That's very very unsafe, what are they thinking?

  • The Carbon spoiler was removed when the car arrived at the garage, and safely tucked away while work was carried out. Re-fitted once the work was finished ;-)

  • great engine soundtrack ruined by crap music over the top...

  • I like the redesign on the rear hatch. looks great, but how does it do in the tunnel?

  • Without a spoiler not good, but the Ultima sport come with a spoiler, I believe they either didn't buy it or removed it.

  • man for a 3.9 litre v8 it sounds wicked and the rest of the car is awsome were are you guys based?

  • The body kit looks amazing.

  • nice, wish i had money like that to spend :(

  • you have to love the rover engines what a nice noise they make

  • oh la la!!!amazing engineer 3.9supercharged v8 ;)
