The father of all Modern Astons (Vanquish is the grandfather :D). This is THE Aston I desire.
I might consider looking for early models (2005-2006) in the near future. What I like about the early models is that it has that push button start made of crystal rather than that ECU key thing.
I'd be looking for one with cream leather and sporting British racing green exterior (yeah, like what Clarkson drove in the Car Vs train challenge). I find that particular DB9 quite special.
Definitely my new dream car. Even though I know I'll never afford one and it'll probably be out of production soon. I only make cars that are currently produced my dream car.
I'd love to own an Aston-Martin. I can only hope that life will be kind to me some day.

today i was in my apartment and i went to the apartment complex's parking garage on the top floor i saw an aston martin db9 and on the third floor the 2012 ford mustang boss 302 even though it's out in 2011.
Here's an interesting titbit. Top Gear track times. DBS 1:23.9, Vantage V12 1:26.8 (not shown on Tv) DB9 1:27.1. Not sure what the times are for Vantage 4.3 or 4.7 but a DBS did nurburgring in 8.02 and a 4.3 Vantage in 8.03, so should be similar to DBS on the Top Gear track!

and the output of the DB9 is sufficient for its purpose ... a great GT plus hp is just a matter of rpms ... you can have more torque or more hp its a choice

@seauryakumar no you can buy em, but its the limited edition cars. LIke ferrari enzo's or Lambo reventons. THose you need some type of high social status. Im not talking about actor status where everyone knows you, but like princes or presidents. Limited edition cars are usually distributed through invitation. But Cars like Db9s or LAmbo gerllado can be bought at a authorized dealership.
If I had a DB9, I would put my bed next to it so when I would wake up in the morning the first thing I would see was the DB9. My day would be a success already. The only disadvantage is that I probably wouldn't get up.

@KingOfZilla Just picked up an Astin Martin DB9 with a friend in Las Vegas. The car looks BIG but the interior is very small. The baggage compartment is smaller than the Lamborghini LP640, can't even fit two 22 inches baggages, I don't know whether it will fit a golf bag or not. The car is heavy but the ride is very smooth. It is 12 inches longer than the Vantage and almost $60,000 more expanse. It is a four seater but the back seats probably can only big enough for a baseball bat!!

if id have the money id but the aston, bacause ist the most practical and in my mind the most beautifull. if you want to save some money you can get a nissan gtr which is amazing but lacks the passion of the others.

Thats true.. ;-) .. But the FXX is a beast.. you can't compare that to a gallardo .. The FXX has more horsepower.. Take the biggest lambo like the reventon.. i'm pretty sure it kan keep up to the FXX.. In the car world .. there's a lot of competition..I'm a ferarri lover myself.. :-)
The fxx is a car you cant use on public road, so therefore its a racecar, so you cant compare it to roadcars like the reventon. If I ever had to much money to spend on a car it would either be this or an F430.
When I win the Mega-Lottery for a few million, this is the car I want with the 2009 Jaguar XJR and the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2011 Mustang, my incognito car.
The DB9 is.. one of.. my dream cars. Looks good, sounds good. It seems like a near perfect road car. If I were a guy, I'd probably get a little stiff whenever I heard or saw one... ~sigh.

I regards to the DBS flipping over in Casino Royale, the care was modified quite a bit for the stunt. There was a large compressed air tank installed, that at the flip of a switch, discharged a large amount air, pushing one side of the car off the ground.

Thats true.. ;-) .. But the FXX is a beast.. you can't compare that to a gallardo .. The FXX has more horsepower.. Take the biggest lambo like the reventon.. i'm pretty sure it kan keep up to the FXX.. In the car world .. there's a lot of competition..I'm a ferarri lover myself.. :-)

The fxx is a car you cant use on public road, so therefore its a racecar, so you cant compare it to roadcars like the reventon. If I ever had to much money to spend on a car it would either be this or an F430.

The DB9 is.. one of.. my dream cars. Looks good, sounds good. It seems like a near perfect road car. If I were a guy, I'd probably get a little stiff whenever I heard or saw one... ~sigh.

@tmat04 I see them on the road very rarely, but when I do they look great and when they catch up with traffic, which really isn't difficult for the vehicle to do, they sound amazing. It's just this amazing engine bellow. I dunno, could be just me, but Aston Martins are simply devine

@tmat04 Ah, yeah, I understand what you mean. It's not as exotic as Lamborghini Gallardo or as crazy as Pagani Zonda. But in the 'flesh', Astons are really beautiful. If you really wanna see a great Aston, Google "Aston Martin One-77" :).

Actually, I have been watching videos on the One-77 on youtube every now and then. I think it's a cool looking car. I like how the engine look and sound. And I think the interior is stunning for a super car. But thanks for the info.

How could the db9's figures "stir" him? 0-60 in 5.9 seconds? That's terrible. i can think of a million things better than that. But I'd still love to have one, with a project kahn body kit. It sounds too good, and looks too good for me to think otherwise

If you re-watch, he said 5.1 secs 0-62mph. Outside of the US 62mph is the standard, not 60mph.

no, 62mph equates to 100kph. In the UK we use 60, he just didn't have the 0-6- times so he used 0-62(100KPH).

I regards to the DBS flipping over in Casino Royale, the care was modified quite a bit for the stunt. There was a large compressed air tank installed, that at the flip of a switch, discharged a large amount air, pushing one side of the car off the ground.
