I went to five high schools in three countries and every time I was filtered through the high school social system the same way; at first I was absorbed into the popular girl group but after a few weeks this group realized I was strange. I was then expunged from the popular girl group and accepted into the geeky/arty group. I would likely have a different worldview if I had grown up where I was born and different opportunities. But I am a dork here, a dork there and just as hilarious either way.
So i was watching videos on youtube of whats been going on in Iran. Well looking through peoples comments i came across one that said '... the people in iran are fighting for freedom. freedom is the most important thing in the world'. And well this got me thinking... Does freedom really exist? and well what is the most important thing in the world?
p.s- i really liked this weeks vid... ur pretty much awesome.
A question tied into this ( that I just thought of is:
Should we accept our flaws and who we are, or should we work towards becoming a better person? This also deals with the value of one's personality. Is someone who is a major jerkwad less "valuable" on the scale then someone who is "nice" or "intelligent"? This also takes into account the person's background. Is a nice guy from a supposedly mean part of the country more valuable than a nice guy from a supposedly nice part of the country?
I don't think funny works like that. I think I'm more funny around funnier people. I think I feed off of their funny.
...but i get what you're saying. My sister was always dubbed the artist, so I didn't really try anything artistic until I was forced to take a drawing class in high school. Turns out I'm not so bad at it. I guess if she wasn't my sister and I didn't always compare myself to her, I wouldn't have given up when I was a kid.
I really like what NotAQuizby said. I believe that if I had been born an only child or even if I had been born into a family of mostly girls instead of boys I would be a dramaticly different person.
also with personality, living in a diff. place will give you diff. experiences and can change how you act and how you are. kind of like if someone were to clone a dog. the dog would look the same as its clone, but if they had totally diff. experiences in their lives, they would act different.
The concept of identity is actually brought up by the environment you are born into. I think it's funny that who I am (and everyone else in my opinion), is directly shaped by everyone who is not me in this life. Or rather, everything that is not me. Environment, people, genetics, these all shape who you are, but it is your conscience that takes every one of these factors and refines it into who you are.
I remember you in highschool, you use to scare me.

This video is pretty great!

I'm gonna completely ignore the deep meaningful parts and point out that you should be naked in videos more often. =)
