Cobalt Megan Drift-spec Cat-back Exhaust

thanks to you i ordered this same exhaust lol, was it very hard to install? and how long did it take?

@newtonR6 its not too hard. you will have to cut the stock exhaust before the axle to get it out (as it is a solid piece) but then installation is easy its a three piece exhaust and you just bolt it all up. having an extra set of hands makes it easy to hold the pieces up and bolt them in. but can be done alone.

@bergaflickal its a 2.2L its not really possible to make a stock cobalt (2.0,2.2,or 2.4)not sound "Ricer" if you just add a catback, those engines could breathe through a straw so the only way to get a "deeper sound" would be straight pipe, but even that would have an Import tone to it

well the megan cat back is universal for all the cobalts except the 09 turbo.

so im not sure. people told me that it was pretty loud but i dont think it was that loud. maybe im just deaf.

well i have solid engine and tranny mounts so everything thats loud reverberates though the car so its sorta loud. not too bad though i could tolerate it.

I don't mind fart cans, but I do think it's pretty tacky to have a fart can AND stock hubcaps. Throw some rims on there, lower it if you haven't, and then you'll have a decent car.

Rims are really a necessity to complete the look IMO. And don't get those shitty Voxx Monzas everyone gets at Discount Tire.

For what it's worth though, i think the exhaust sounds (and looks) really good.

Lowering springs, nice rims, and an exhaust system makes for a great looking car on a modest budget.
