hey im getting the 51inch 3d model for my 14th b-day and i was wondering if the colors actually are as vivid as they say? i just returnede the 42inch because the 3d mas messede up and the colors werent as bright?

The Panasonic 3D Plasmas are the best though. Even the Samsung Plasmas are better than their LED's, I'm not sure why every company cares soooo much on advertising their 3D LED's when its obvious that 3D plasmas are better.

@wardy92 Plasmas have the best colors. They look the most realistic. Not saying that the other two are waaay off, because they are not way off, but plasmas are the closest to reality.

@EpiclsME we have a plasma down stairs and my 24" led pc monitor gives a better picture comparing 1080p - 1080p.

I prefer led and lcd over plasma because they last alot longer. Plasma's die after around 4-5 years

@EpiclsME i have a 50 inch vizio plasma and i swear i wanna throw it out the window. it looks like its 480p. the only thing i hate about samsung leds is i dont think they sell them over 60 hz. which sucks because you can really notice the "lag" compared to 120 hz

@TDWPMegalomaniaTDWP In theaters, if you watch 3D movies, there are two projectors at each end. They project two images (slightly off) and they wiggle. This is a different technology, and I think it's called polarized technology.... You don't need expensive glasses. Just plastic cheapies. The reason TV companies did NOT do this method is because it is too expensive to project two images to one screen, and they are limited to size. So they use active shutter technology.

seriously, i don't get what the difference is between the 3d tv's and a normal one, i thought it was the format of the movie that made it 3d, not the actual tv, whats the difference??

@TDWPMegalomaniaTDWP Well, the difference between 3D TV and a normal one is that 3D TV's have an RF sensor that sends out signals to the 3D glasses, making each lens open and close (Active Shutter Glasses). I'm not sure about the format of the movie that made it 3D, but I know for sure that it's the RF sensors... Normal TV's don't have that thing to send signals out.....

i just bought mines 55 inch and let me tell you its freekinnn awesomeeeeeeeee! down side speakers are not that loud, i mean my old lcd has more sound on teh speaker then this new one, but like i said the picture quality is off the hook. Also cant wait for more 3d blue rays movies as it came only with monster vs alien. above all i give this TV 5 stars.
