The Crypt and Tomb raider are basically the same ride except Tomb Raider had WAAAY better effects and was more enjoyable.

Yeah... maybe it used to be better, but they have since then removed all the themeing from the ride and you can see inside the room. besides, this one is floorless.

I went to KD in July and ironic enough, the theme, music, EVERYTHING was still there.

I don't know what everyone's talking about, how they stripped the theme from The Crypt. They may have done that at KI, but it's still here in KD.

Thats a good question. I think it was made specifically for the ride, but try searching limewire or whatever and suck for "Tomb Raider Ride Theme Music" and see what you get. It'l be a hard search tho.

What I don't get is how when your riding the side that does front flips you don't lift out of the seat only when you do back flips.

you fall down out of your seat into the shoulder restraints the same amount regardless of the side you sit in. It's not spinning fast enough for there to be any difference.

i've been on both, and trust me if u think behemoth is scary and u havnt been on it yet?-trust me, this is scarier.

oh and its a little bit more scary 4 me, cuz well, my feet went in the black leather,SLIPPERY spot, so every time we did a loop, my feet slipped outta their spot so while i wuz on the ride i had to slip em right back in- but it was worth it :D

Hypersonic was an expensive prototype that never was fully developed. It was costing them alot of money to keep, and it was unreliable(this one broke down way more than tomb raider), and it had an extremely low capacity... it moved what, 8 people in line every 3 minutes?

This ride was built not too long ago, it has a decent capacity, it scares people, and is a guest favorite. Every ride breaks down sometimes. No reason to remove it.

Area 51 is an indoor injection alien themed in the dark coaster. XLC is good for only one run but after you do it its not worth the wait (i waited over an hour for a 30 sec ride.)

yeah i realize that mine is too big.... even tho is pretty small (kodak easyshare v610), ride operators still notice it and its hard with the restraints to keep it tied to your wrist and in your pocket at the same time.

Well when it broke down the fire was broke so it was still flaming the water got jammed so we all got wet and the mist was making my head hurt cause it STINKS.

the ignition source might not have been working, but the propane or gas or whatever they use might have still been pumped over the water. so you might have been smelling and getting high off the gas. thats what i smelled each and every time just before the fire ignited.

my camera is small and inconspicuous. most operators are of the mindset of...its your camera, if it breaks or you drop it were not responsible. And ive done it on ALOT of rides...there just not all posted on youtube.

I think I like TR:TR at Kings Island more. Its all enclosed and looks like its themed alot better. Sure, there are flames and pretty water jets at this one, but TR:TR at KI is all enclosed, and believe it or not, even MORE fun in the dark. Hard to think it could be, since it's an enclosed ride, but it's better.
