my friend got this laptop! and his computer is really bad now! it worked pretty good in the begining but in the end it worked so slow! you couldn't play anygames so they walked with the computer to a guy who fixes that and they said that they wanted him to remove everything from the computer so its like brand new!. he did remove everything! but the computer still fucking sucks! so i dont recomend you to buy this computer!

@akke9798 He'll be able to play if he replaces thermopaste on video card (can be skipped, but better to), cleanes radiators and overclocks video card with Rivatuner, putting it to force 3d performance, to ensure proper cooling, cause "smart fan" isn't smart at all.

Overclocking video card makes it another deal, but still kinda shitty compared to others.

And the 5.1 cheap-arse speakers lasted for a month or so :]]

Acer Aspire 6920g.. after 20 minutes of any game play..the fps drops to 10fps and the Processor spikes to 100% cpu usage..

So... I reformatted, installed only my Anti virus ESET Nod 32, and Americas Army 2.. (a 2002 game with an engine from the 90's) 20 minutes of game play the fps dropped to 10fps and the proc spiked again..

Acer Sucks Cock and Balls.. stay away from Acer, Gateway, Emachines and Packard Bell..

Acer tech support are nothing but anal felchers with thumb to nose attitudes..

Acer has really stepped their game up. This laptop gets a higher rating then my friends fully spec' ed out dell studio 17. I want it for college, but it seems that no one has it. IDK if it's been released yet, super fast sells that don't meet demand or discontinued.

If your gettin crap performance out of the acer, install vista 64-bit and make sure to change the power settings to high performance! it runs games at almost double the fps when you do this.

Depends on what you want out of a laptop. There are plenty of better options than this for a gaming laptop or for business use for the same price. If its just for gaming scrap the blue ray and the finger print reader right off the bat when looking to save you money. This only has 512gb of 9700 gpu which is nothing close to special. It also only has a 5400rpm hdd which is sad for any type of gaming anything. The Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q706 is better than this because it focuses on ONLY gaming

dell xps m2010, the mother of all laptops, too bad they stopped making it. 20" screen, removable keyboard and mouse, sub woofer (6.1 audio) quad core, and just barely portable at I believe 20 lbs. 1 of my friends was crazy enough to buy 1. this 1 looks nice too, a good alternative since dell stopped making their 2010s.
