This would also be cute with a fake gem stone in the middle and matching drop bead on the bottom. or decoupage a picture of a flower in the middle or some design.
This is a great idea but I have 2 questions. First, the smallest hook i have is a size E, is this going to make a huge difference in size? Second, did you place the jump ring through the chain loop of the corner or through the ch 6 sp? Thanks, your always an inspiration, I have made several of your projects!!!

@kmbyrne27 I placed the jump ring around the chain, not through it. You could do it either way.
The earring will be much larger with a larger crochet hook. Size E hook is not going to work well with the small thread but it will work with yarn.

@knittwitty74 I don't know about AC Moore, but my local Hobby Lobby (and Walmart for that matter) carry this type of crochet cotton.
