For stuff like this, you'll definately want to use nylons. This would sound good on a classic-style guitar.
Otherwise, D'Addario Phosphor-Bronze lights.

not too bad. you asked what good strings are? try some high gauge brite wires. theyve got a much heavier sound for the kind of stuff you do and are pretty cheap. i got some on my acoustic and they sound great
