Well Im not sure myself....I did use an Unregistered Hypercam...

When you record movies of GBA games such as this one, you can use the VBA's built-in video recorder.

@cdjblue That version is too laggy, he should use the VBA re-recorder version. I know it's made for TAS, but the movie record function works a lot better. after you record the demo(VBM) you play the VBM file then at the start of the video you start AVI recording
