Interesting if you watch from 8:13 to 8:21 the flutists put down one flute and switch to another. I guess they need different range flutes.

Only 3 words come to mind when I listen to this magnificent piece: 2001 Space Odyssey. The use of classical music in a science fiction film was unheard of before that movie, but the results were spectacular.
