I agree. Dungeons is just a bit of a disappointement. However, I don't think they own the rights to Dungeon Keeper, so they can't exactly make a sequel to the game. Which, is unfortuant.

That said, i like the not-so-subtle piss-takes; "You are a Dungeon Lord!! Not a lowly Dungeon Keeper", "The evil ex-girlfriend Calypso" (Kalypso Media), "You are much better than that silly Diablo". etc. All good fun. :D

The projects that provoked Dungeon Keeper 3's cancellation were EA's Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings games.[1] Though there are no plans for developing any new Dungeon Keeper games at this time. wikipedia ftw

A shame it is, since both the Harry Potter and Lord of the ring games were just mindless attempts to jump on the bandwagon of the time and try to weasel more money out. And both games were crap in the end. And now we don't get a Dungeon Keeper 3. Thanks a bunch, EA. (But yeah, it was expected. EA is sort of in the habit of ruining pretty much everything).

Bullfrog released my fave games, like Theme Hospital, and now EA has ruined it all. Their trying to squeeze money out of us to make us buy copies of amazing games turned into crap. Oh yeah. Did you hear the latest? (On Kotaku) EA has named 6 different developing studios "BioWare". And now even has "bioware" developing the next command and conquer. Fun is: It's still the same studio that made the last C&Cs, only the name changed. They are hoping to use BioWare's good name to get more people to buy.

Yes, you really can't make this stuff up... You actually have to see it happen to believe the stupidity of this company.

Dungeon Keeper 1&2 are two of the most awesome games I ever played and it is a shame that nobody was able to make a game that took the concept up quite that well.

Overlord was only a weak copy by comparison.

I would give quite a bit to be able to slap my imps around in a third part. ^^

@AndragonLea i get tired of telling people that Overlord was not in ANY f*cking way a copy of DK, it was its own game through and through, and it was made to parody the Lord of the Rings, its creators did NOT have DK in mind when they made it, so stop bitching about things you dont even understand. However i would say that the game Dungeons fits what youre trying to pin on Overlord. IT was an obvious attempt to copy the series and it failed miserably.
