  • @pavel4 no its a 88 690 ST and it is looking beautiful i was there today and he had the tanks painted they are sharp.

  • @onelonleyfarmer yea i was thinking twin strait pipes a drop visor alot of lights and i would probably just get some used aluminum tanks and have them polished.not sure how it would look tho or put the tanks behind the stack on the frame and put some storage box steps on it.your plan will have a nice original spec look 2 it.should still look great.how much longer u think ya got till finished

    Gee, 200,000 miles? That's hardly had enough miles for a first oil change, LOL. Seriously, there are a LOT of good miles left in that machine. Well done so far.

  • Be careful welding those fuel tanks. I recall my uncle doing that a number of years ago. He thought all the fuel had evaporated. It had not. Pssshhhh! BOOOM! The tank flew almost 20 ft with propulsion via the fill pipe. No damage to anyone or anything. Well, ok, his shorts were goners, but otherwise, everyone was ok.
