Entertaining though bit of a misnomer when you say "Driven hunt" I think its called a shoot when the birds are pen raised for the purpose. You want to hunt, come on out to the west U.S. for a real partridge challenge. Probably won't need the nappy hats, knickers, loaders and bird beaters unless you... well.. anyway. And bring $30 US for a license to hunt millions of acres of public land. Oh, and may want to lose some of that aristocratic marble for the hill walking involved ;-)
can anyon help iv just read the book the poachers handbook and they went on about a partridge whistle made out of the brass caps off of 2 shotgun cartridges and was wonderin if any 1 knows how 2 make 1 just 2 see if it works not for poaching means
Some nice shooting--If high partridge are your bag try Las Beatas La Mancha the finca is called finca questa de la borracha.Beautiful finca,excellent service and truly amazing high birds--there is a drive called communista that is simply humbling( well it was for me).Good to see ladies along with you on your trip.

Nice shooting. Love to try that. I am not to impressed with the loader-shooter co-operation though. Loaders should be standing behind shooters, not sitting in front of shooter.
l agree but that is not the way in Spain.l was not comfortable with it to start with but a lot of the old school loaders use a stool infront of you and pass a gun up.

Partridge hunt doesnt go like this up in Quebec ill tell you that
you have to sneak on them to be able to get close enough for a shot, but then again if you like it this way....
