  • Why is the tank in storage rather than on display?

  • so find ich toll hihi

  • the panzer III and the t-34 are my 2 favorite ww2 tanks

  • That was a very good presentation. Thank you for posting.

  • It's a nice tank. But i truely like the Aufs Panzer Mk. IV better. It had an improved turrent commanders cupalu and high vilocity 75mm howitzer. Not saying the one you showed is a bad tank i like this model aswell. I just lik the Aufs model IV Panzer.lol

  • long live a famous world war two general: general george patton

  • thank you for the nice video,,, it is great to see history being saved.

  • Nice work! great that more and more people are doing this these days :) please search for "Panzermuseum Munster 1993" at youtube.. They did about the samething as you guys did, but with many more vehicles, tanks, self propelled artillery, halftracks, etc :) PS. What's the name of the soundtrack?

  • The Americans restaurated and drives german tanks and the Germans do this with american cars! LOL Greetings from Germany

  • Nice restauration!!

It`s a german tank and the only real thing is it:

    Bring him back to GERMANY!

  • @mistertwister11 That tank was paid for. In blood.

  • @mistertwister11 who said wastn german you lost and that's. Get it!

  • Nice restoration!its a shame they dont do the same for the vehicles at the aberdeen proving ground that are rotting away outside!

Earlier this year i went down to Bovington tank museum in dorset (uk) when they had the Tiger 1 driving round the arena, thats an impressive machine too!

  • Very nice resto. American tanks were mainly for troop support. The only thing the sherman had was its numbers lightweight and speed. The germans had better communications larger guns and tactics.A tigertanks kill ratio was usally 6 to 1.

  • thank you for sharing...5 stars!!!!!

  • That's nothing... my mum got 2 tigers and a flak gun 88 mm.

  • :D:D:D

  • Nice home protection. I bet noone thinks about robing your house xD

  • supurb restorating job. i remember seeing that tank on a postcard from the magazine @after the battle@ before it was taken to be rebuilt

  • the panzer 3 was a tank hunter but later in the war allied tanks become stronger and he was set out of production

  • WRONG panzer3 was the main batle tank for the first 2 years of the war then PANZER4 F2 came out and took his "job"

  • Germans has madedthis beutiful machines and the collection has the name of Sir Patton? =S

Well, the good thing is that at least they are in one piece... and what a beautifull piece =D

  • Didnt they name it "Panzer Kampfwagen III"?

  • wtf!! look at the dude in the picture at 2:36/5:04

  • what is wrong w/ that picture

  • He is crawling out the escape hatch.

  • Nice work....Tank's

  • nice vid... what's a tank like that worth?

  • milions dude milions

  • that museam is cool i went there 5 years ago

  • I was in that same tank back in the 50's, I remember that hole shot in the turret.

It was in the Patton museum.

  • Panzers rollin'

  • Great video, very informative.. and a beauty of a Tank too.. :)

  • ""easyer to maintain""

Not true at all. Tiger I and Panther were roughly about the same when it came to maintaining them. Panthers even suffered many many problems for almost a year until early 1944. Tiger I was much easier to break in and didn't suffer as many teething flaws as the Panther.

  • where is this museum?? (which state and city)

  • just search george patton museum on the net

  • how stupid can you be???? AT THE ARMOR AND CAVALRY MUESEUM, FORT KNOX KENTUCKY, the ARMOR training post of the united states army. I know this because i LIVE THERE...god stupid civilians...

  • whoooooooa there little buddy, I can tell by that temper that you must be in the service. By the way, just so you know, the oxymoron is military intelligence, not civilian inteligence. Give the guy a break.

  • I dont blame him... It said it in the video. Attention to detail. But the IIIF carried a 37mmkwk not the 50mm. That was a refit to the H model and later J model. refited Fs had the L42 50mm and the J has the L60.

  • I'm only but a simple farmer in Minnesota, like I'd know that. xD

  • kentucky fort knox

  • Sadly, for the most part, these things were death traps for the tank crews on the battlefield. Thin armour and a rather small main gun (compared with other tanks of the time)

  • compared with other tanks of the time?...it was the best to develop the blitzkrieg taktik that allowed the Germans to defeat tanks like the crusader or Matilda from the british "rats", the french renault, even engaged succesfully against the revolutionary t-34 and KV's in Russia, and almost gave (together with the also succesful PZ IV) victory to Germany...so?

  • Yes this tank was good used with blitzkrieg tactic. But 1 on 1, a Panzer3 v.s. say a Char B, Panzer3 would most certainly be defeated because of it's thiner armour and it's smaller cannon. The only thing that made these tanks and the P4 effective was they all had wireless radio sets installed. Early ww2 allied tanks didn't have radios, that was the secret to german success. And using armour en mass. T-34 v.s P3, P3 kaputt.

  • well, yes 1 on 1 it losses...at the end the important factor is the tactic...and strategy...

  • the tiger was the best tank they made,it could take out the allied shermans easyly,so the british made the sherman fire fly,it was a sherman with a british anti tank gun on it,it made it a match for the tiger, but not many where made. (which was sad)

  • Tiger wasn't the best, that was the Panther G.

Tiger was to heavy for the engine and the panther canon had a higher muzzle velocity and was lighter, sloped armour, easyer to maintain... says enough!

  • ""Tiger wasn't the best, that was the Panther G.""

Tiger was stronger all round and tougher to defeat.

""Tiger was to heavy for the engine ""

It had surprisingly good mobility and broke down no more than the Panther. In fact, Tigers often had a better operational percentage than Panthers.

  • ""the panther canon had a higher muzzle velocity""

Only up to 2,000 metres. After that, Tiger takes over and at 3,000 metres the Tiger I's gun penetrates better than the Panther's. Plus, Tiger had better HE power.

    ""sloped armour,""

But Tiger I had the best QUALITY steel of any tank in WW2 and this made it's vertical armour very strong.

  • Also tigers often shot at 2 o'clock and like that they "made" their own vertical armor sloped...

  • ""Also tigers often shot at 2 o'clock and like that they "made" their own vertical armor sloped.""

Very true. Tiger commanders had a habit of having the Tigers standing oblique to the enemy and you are right, this gave it's 'vertical' armour an 'angled' quality.

  • you can use less armour for just as great protection (hint the T-42)

  • Im always happy to see old tanks running agen, greate video ;)

  • a bit long winded ... too much photos not enough video clips.

  • Great work, nice to see a panzer III always running.

  • any idea what the music is called anyone thanks

  • The Music is the theme song from 'Patton'. It is a 'typical' Ft Knox pre-ceremony tune.

  • thanks for your help

  • @panther590 It's from the Police Academy movies

  • The tracks are on backwards.
