  • ahh the incoming alarm... good times...

  • I can't say I miss the sounds of the incoming alarm. Heard them a bit at Delta and Echo near the end of the war, haha.

  • surprised to see this put up in 07'. Was there in 05/06, at a large fob too, and we had sirens but they didn't go off till after rounds had landed. Certainly not an incoming detector or phalanx. Was always nice to hear the Apaches go out though, then you knew it was over for real.

  • I am one to take cover and have been in this situation more times than i can count and still in the same situations to this day but that was one of the biggest displays of complacency i have ever seen.

  • in his defense, everyone does become complacent when a Jet or someone shooting an AK into the air sets off the "multi million dollar system". If you actually hear something hit though, you should be running to a bunker...

  • @Sparatan117 You didn't happen to be at COS Warrior did you?

  • @jordanwarvideos Cav Country baby. Apaches attached to 6-17

  • @Sparatan117 When'd you leave?

  • @jordanwarvideos November 9th? I wanna say. 6-17 left and then we did the day after. Main post was like a ghost town.

  • @Sparatan117 We headed out on Nov 10th and you're right, it was like a ghost town. We got a pretty nice send off though. Mortars on the 9th and 10th, all of them fairly close. I think that the best week that I was there was the one where the CRAM was down for maintenance, no running to the bunker for bullshit that week.

  • @jordanwarvideos lol, and then also 3 days prior to us leaving we noticed that the system stopped all together. And that the radar truck had been packed up and was gone. It was a like a coordinated F*@# across the base lol

  • @Sparatan117 There was still a system up somewhere, I worked down at the gate and when we were driving home from work one day we all noticed the systems on the hilltops were down and thought that was weird, but both attacks after that brought incoming alarms.

  • One word...pogue

  • was that at Warrior?

  • But yeah you definitely start to not care anymore. The last time I took idf was my last day in country leaving bagram. I slept through the first round... Got woken up... Then they kept sounding tue alarms... So after a while we all just went back to the tent and went back to sleep. The likelihood they had a mortar team sitting there to continue lobbing rounds... Well... Probably not... It was dumb in retrospect but people really do stop caring.

  • I dunno... We usually fixed our own trucks.... Or just didn't take them... Because they're death traps and it's better to walk... And our truck drivers gave up trying to bring us food... I dunno for a bunch of "dumbass infantry" we were pretty damn self sufficient.

  • Fobbits were smarter in choosing their MOS by avoiding combat junkies with a lower GT score ha 94F!

  • @S1L3NTX111 19K here...perfect GT score here too. Way to be pogue.

  • this is... embarrassing... sure lets just wait till a mortar lands close enough before i decide to jump into sum bunkers

  • FOBBITS!!...

  • @IGETZACTIVE3000 Combat Arms wouldn't be shit without fobbits. Remember that when your truck breaks down and you're asking your mechanic, Can you fiiiiiiix thiiiiiiiis?"

  • Complacency kills

  • thats in Balad at JBB on the Air Force side

  • i guess this is at Kandahar

  • @WhitakerSJA nope thats JBB on the Air Force side

  • @lowkeyneon Cheers for the correction. I only know Khandahar :P

  • heres a hint, they're mortars, that wood frame building is no protection, GTFO of the building and seek safer shelter

  • pogs

  • run and hide lil fobbit!

  • I believe theses silling fobbits here have been in country long enough time to know the diffrents between incoming and outgoing.Which basicaliy meens take cover you stupid fucks!!!

  • Dam guys id say lets get the fuck outta here

  • How do you protect yourself from these? Do they have special bunkers or anything?

  • You stupid fucks, lets stand outside and see if we can see something blow up. when you know a bunker is no more than 20 feet away. So you are the people who cause the army to make everyone get briefed on shit that should be common since

  • @awAdmin

where i'm at the only people who've been hurt by IDF attacks have been the ones running to the dumb fucking bunkers.

  • @DirtyYogurt I have seen bunkers hit, hit the dirt instead, but don;t stand out side with your camera looking for them. That is just retarded

  • @awAdmin if you have ever been there then you could say something.

  • @poopietim 06-08 / 09-10 / 11-12.... When is the last time you were there pal?

  • Looks like someone got a 6 killstreak... lmao i had to say it

  • "wow that was really close seriously take cover"........erm the alarm was going for a reason not so u could get ur camera out.

  • haha! Thats probably the quickest she had moved in iraq!

  • fuckin pogs

  • Im pretty sure that TOC is a great place for a video camera, dumbass pog's

  • like seriously.....takecover???? are u ((((ing kidding me? ya, take cover....retard

  • At 0:27 is that the glint of the round you can see as it's coming in?

  • @krazykyle4 its more like 0:28- 0:29...

    but yeah, i saw it

  • LOL, theyre probably the army

  • "Like seriously take cover" xD

  • Rear echelon nonsense. If you had any brains you'd have gotten down when the first one fired, got up at the all clear and donned your gear.

I'm glad you pups weren't on my FOB, learn to soldier.

  • she tries to be so hard core until it gets close, lol. This looks like camp liberty.

  • "Ok that was close" id hit the ground rather than go inside that CHU

  • HOLY DJFHLIUDFHLISDHFLIUDhflaisduhfasdjifh

  • yeah and the sad part is all those POG ass FOBbits probably got CAB's for it too, Fuckin POG's

  • "yay, they're shootin, that was pretty close" BAM!!!!! "Oh that was really close" No shit FUCKSTICK! Maybe you should actually take cover when the multi-million dollar computer controlled alarm system says "Incoming" *shaking my head* Did you just get in the Army yesterday or what? You should be embarrassed that you're even heard in this video.

  • @MattHeaven The thing about this is it happens several times every day for a lot of soldiers. I think eventually a lot of them get desensitized, because they aren't always going to be so close as the one in the video.

  • @ShawnaTheGirl I truly do appreciate your 'devils advocate' approach. However, I'm in Iraq right now as I'm typing this. This is my second tour, and I've now lived in this country for almost two years of my life. Do the alarms go off a lot without incoming? Yes. Does that mean you go walking outside and put yourself in extra danger if you're not sure? I think most of us are intelligent enough to figure that one out on our own. Complacency gets soldiers killed!

  • @MattHeaven This, I can agree with. I just came back from Iraq and people always laughed when I hauled ass to the bunkers. I think I speak for EVERYONE when I say safety is key. I got shit to lose, so I'mma stay as safe as possible...

  • @MattHeaven have you ever been deployed?? honestly it is stupid to run for cover, it is IDF you don't know where it is going to land you dumbfuck. It could hit you on the way to the bunker or when I was in Iraq you might have 5 guys run to a bunker and all get killed because the bunker was hit and blown up. and that's a no bullshit story. The best thing you can do...is not let it bother you.

  • Hey isnt that kandahar air base? Afghan?

  • 'Like seriously take cover'!!!...No shit Sherlock!!

  • lol, they complain that ii was close yet in ww2 bombs would land on nearly every square inch possible.

  • Look just right of the flag pole right before impact, you can see the sun reflect off the round

  • @FlatheadSteve nice catch!

  • You can see it fly in at 0:27

  • like seriously take cover?....FUCK YOUR IN A WAR REMEMBER THAT!!!!!

  • fuckin women right?

  • Is that a kid?

  • I'm sorry, has your voice not matured or are you younger than the legal age for enlistment?

  • 25 yards away...I bet they got a CAB for that too...fobbits LOL I just had one hit less than 20m in front of us while on security, wish I had footage rolling for that one

  • follow protocol get to cover dont watch and get blown up

  • god i remember that shit like it was yesterday

  • The guy with the cam sounded like 14 year old or a women ? :)

  • @tbyte women

  • actually that building would probly offer less protection than simply putting your back to the hunk of cement out front there. ive seen mortars shred metal doors like swiss cheese and nail ppl inside

  • STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID!!!

  • aww thats horrible =/

  • POGS

  • i remember my days of that

  • Seriously take cover, lets go outside with a camera not a gun.

  • @Dshaws90fordf150 From the look of it I think they are Army Personnel and from the computers theyre job is not exactly to fight. They do it in an Administrative way, so theyre reaction is not get my gun not like other Army personnel who are more extensively trained to fight.

  • What?! You get alarms now? Haha.

  • you never forget the sound of those things when they land that close! I had one hit about that close outside Fob Loyalty, sucks!

  • where was this at in iraq?

  • khandahar ?

  • kid sounds like hes 9...

  • massive respect!

  • Insurgents are pussy because the use cell phones to detonate shit and launch mortors and run for there lives. they hardly ever stand and fight they hide in there lil churchs and shitty houses.

  • Ha ha! Wet your pants, stupid!? Bet you wish you were back home instead of "dying for your country," huh?

  • are they texas national guard? makes sence..slow bitches

    hoooaaahh!!1

  • what is IDF? and FOB? also... what are fobbits? tangos? bogeys? and any other military jargon you might hear? anyone wanna fill me in?

  • @nichace53 fob=foward operating base.

  • What a FOB. Was this their first deployment?

  • wow, i've never heard an explosion. pussy's

  • standard procedure when IDF!... GET THE F*** DOWN and stop standing around, your not some hardcore robot because you live inside a camp...

  • heyy look its mr. lewis

  • This looks strangely like Camp Bucca

  • lol, "sounds pretty close, oh shit!" then takes cover inside a wooden hut, lol. just drop ur belly on the floor n get ur gear on. lol.

  • FOBBITS

  • wow, majority of the poeple on her critizing them have probably never been in a situation like that. good job.

  • looks like anaconda...which would make sense cuz he said airfield.

  • Oh, and then closing the plywood door will help too of course.

  • ok than dont close the door... dont even try.... that door COULD save you're life.

  • or it could just create more shrapnel

  • @420tenke420 no that would creat additional shrapnel

  • @kaceyaguiar it may,

but it also may save your life

    pending where the round hits.

  • Morons. Yeah it was close, cuz you didn't go to your fucking bunker like you were supposed to. You just stood outside your damn hooch to get blown to pieces.

  • i know , i was there wll not there , afghanistan same shit hole , when that alarm goes you grab your rifle and fuckin go

  • is this Balad?

  • REMFS

  • I treat every alarm as if it's an attack

  • REMFS is all I have to say lol. I would be ashamed if thats as well as I did

  • So how close did it come?

  • lol reminds me of myself over there. We got attacked so often I just didn't care anymore when we had incoming. It was so often and always at the same damn target every day that it just didn't matter. Do I hear a whistle? Yup, don't care then. No whistle? Well I'm dead anyway.

  • lol i know that feeling. but mmmm that he even consider closing the door before taking cover thats new. ;)

  • bet you carried out your immediate action drill and jumped on the ground a bit quicker next time huh.... idiots

  • ..dem be shootin' there yonder..

  • What a girl!

That's all I've got to say.

  • Shes all casual. "Hey, we're under attack still. Hmmm, that one was real clo- HOLY SHTI!!!"

  • Alarm sounds, but she just gimps around like a gimp, mortar hits, well duh, what did you expect? Get into a trench, behind something solid, get low, do something bitch, not gimp around

  • That was just stupid! Freaking admin people.

  • poor fobbits, that's as hardcore as it gets for them.

  • @utuberssuk There reaction the "1" mortar says it all

  • @utuberssuk dont lie,your a fobbit too..

  • @utuberssuk fobbits only experience in war..... get mortared and if you suffer a paper cut when it happens you just might get a purple heart in less then a week! While my friend at work suffered from his head wounds from an ied and for almost two years still fighting to get his purple heart!!!

Sorry I have no sympathy to those who stay in the rear.....

  • "like seriously take cover".... what the hell do you think TAKE COVER means? doing a joke? idiots -.-

  • dumb ass 36th CAB...idiots!!!!

  • I've never been out there but for fucks sake, i know when to head for cover (not a wooden hut) when there's high explosives raining down on me! haha

anyway, i don't envy you guys, makes me glad im joining the navy instead!

  • nice choice nancy boy!

    :P

"We Look Like Soldiers, Talk Like Sailors, Slap The Shit Out Of Both Of Them, Im A U.S. Marine!"

  • I spent too many years in college to end up shitting in a bag for the rest of my life....

Good luck out there, but i may remember your comments the next time you need a helo and there's only a Royal Navy unit available.... ;)

  • uhm no disrespect because im deploying dec 10th.. but you would think when the CRAM speaks out (imcoming) you would take cover but nooooooooo not this person lmaoooo you're lucky to be honest

  • Its amazing how few people would actually heed the CRAM alarms. But once something hits "close" then people take it seriously.

  • NO SHIT YOUR AT WARRRRR!!!!????!!!!

  • That brings back memories of my tour in Iraq. I had several mortars land near to me. Its been over a year since ive been in the states and I am still jumpy.

  • Yeah, because running into your building is going to save you.

  • my gunny used to walk around fallujah while the incoming alarm was going off. someone would yell at him to get behind some cover. he would just say "if its my time its my time" and keep on walking.

  • LOL, that's hard core. I can just see the visual of that whole thing, coffee in hand, just strolling toward the COC.

  • The alarm doesn't mean it's a nice day to stand outside and video tape the sky with no gear on. "Like seriously take cover." Brilliant thought.

  • was she on drugs? geez whenever i heard the first exlpolsion i was in the bunker. we didnt have alarms

  • Typical Yanks enough said

  • This is what happens when untrained army POG's are introduced to combat enviromnments. We had no alarms like that at our base and still practiced better saftey procedures than this. They're lucky they aren't dead.

  • I bet you that they weren't even wearing kevlar vest's and helmets..."wankers"

  • you bet? dude you can see that their not

  • pogues

  • kid does not even sound a day over 15

  • its a girl dumbass

  • get some fucking cover, idiots

  • Did anyone explain C-RAM to these idiots. I was watching and screaming get the fuck down!!!!!!! That warning was telling them that the incoming was going to hit very close. And yes, that was close. Holy Shit, it's amazing they didn't know what was up. And their Army for fuck sakes. I was KBR in Basrah, you didn't do stupid shit like that. Let this be a leason. OPSEC, OPSEC, OPSEC. Scott out.

  • "seriously take cover" haha fuckin admin

  • that wasn't close but im sure it was a scary moment working at your desk in iraq

  • wasn't close? you're stupid.

  • no that wasn't close, we didn't even have alarms where i was, you listened for the launch

  • I would not know if this clip was from Balad. What I met was I was also deployed to OIF, twice.

  • Christ allmighty. Keep your head down m8.

  • You ever heard of OPSEC?? I was also stationed at Balad. You should of had your Ass on the ground!! Soldiers like you that come into the Army are substandard and make our lifes as NCO's harder!!! I hope you ETS from the Army. Otherwise I would request UCMJ for being a dumbass!!!

  • Good OPSEC yourself by the way. If I didn't know it was Balad, I do now.

  • I would not know if this clip was from Balad What I met was I was also deployed to OIF.

  • Ok, the wording threw me off. I agree with you about the Soldiers being irresponsible. My FOB got hit VERY often for 15 months. The alarm was definitely not something to ignore if you knew what was good for you.

  • that was something serious...close as hell

  • where did the motar hit?

  • the mortar hit 25 yards away

  • now thats close

  • wow thats some scary stuff.
