The Jamboree was the most awesome thing I've ever done in my life!!!

My Unit was really lucky cos we got picked to carry the English flag through the crowds at the start of the opening ceremony! So cool!

I'm deffo going to Sweden, probs to help on the catering team as I'll be a leader by then.

Hmm... that can be surprisingly tricky.

It depends on what you mean by "original" Scouts change and adapt their songs all the time so it can be hard to find an "original" per se. For example, I know of about three different versions of Ging gang goo, depending on which part of the UK it is being sung in.

First of all, are you in the Scouts yourself?If so then the best way is probably just to ask your leader or someone you know in Scouting. Most troops will have a copy of a songbook somewhere in their scout kit and if you ask nciely I'm sure they'll let you borrow it. (Scouting books don't get replaced very often, so there's a good chance the versions of the songs in them will be at least 10 years old! =) )

Having just done a quick google search, it looks like there arer pletny of on-line resources, mostly from America. You could also try searching YouTube.

Ah yes - I have done a bit of a google and youtube search but haven't found songs as sung by the british scouts in singapore during the 60's. I'm looking for them for a singalong evening in memoriam of my father who died a couple of weeks ago and who was a GSM.

In that case, the best place to apply would be to the Scout Archives at Gilwell Park and Baden Powell House. They hold most of the archive material on UK scouting so they would probs be your best shot. Again I think you'll have to use google to find their websites, cos I don't know them. Good Luck!
