I would hate to see Star Wars die because of the lack of new films, but I would hate even more to see it die because of any new films. The prequels sucked yes, but to their credit they have kept the series alive. Honestly, I don't see how any chronological sequels after the original trilogy could be any good. Unless they make Luke, Han and Leia completely CG and somehow bring Lord Sidious and Darth Vader back. But what ever they do George must get someone else to direct (you know you agree).

the movies go chronologically. notice time moves FORWARD as you go from 1-6. If they made 7-9 based on a series 4000 years in the past, it wouldn't make sense.

I don't know if it is real or not but I definitely gets you excited. I'm pretty sure George Lucas said that he is finally at peace with the Star Wars saga. There are 3 more episodes though. He said he will leave it up to his children to make those if they wish. So I wouldn't be surprise to see the last 3 episodes befoe 2030 or before that.
I believe Lucas is trying to push the technology envelope before he makes the last sequels, after Return of the Jedi. He has stated that his next project would be to put the original trilogy in 3D....

@JCLMfamily thank you :) not to mention the fact that they make the loser mistake that everyone who makes a reproduction of star wars makes: the scroll up of the text is too wide to read right off the bat. Lucasarts always makes it in a thin column so the text doesn't get lost off screen until it's almost too late to read it all.

KOTOR? As great as it may be(from what I hear), We've had enough prequels. And Star Wars (the films) revolve around the story of the Skywalkers, so to jump off randomly in some other direction just wouldn't be right.

there's a chance it might NOT happen....harrison ford was doing indiana jones.....he actually turned down han solo for indy(which i can believe) so it wont be the same without han luke could be in it....he's a little old and looks a little older than he really is......so they either have to get new characters.....like lukes son(in one of the comics,cant remember which.....)so most likely no it will not happen......but theres a possibility if its all new characters.....its either or

the movies go chronologically. notice time moves FORWARD as you go from 1-6. If they made 7-9 based on a series 4000 years in the past, it wouldn't make sense.

hey! indy 4 was pretty good!atleast in my friends' and family's point of view,i loved it....it had more comedy and more action than some of the other ones....me and my son think it could be the best one yet....maybe its bc we are all indy film fans.....the last crusade was the worst...it was still good...just not as good.....so there is worse films out there....so yeah.....up yours

Enough with the Episode VII-IX stuff. The movies are about the rise, fall, and redemption of Anakin Skywalker. He's dead and the Sith are destroyed. You can't force Lucas to come up with new stories just to extend the series.
Besides, we're getting a Clone Wars movie and TV show, along with a live-action one that could branch out into 4 different shows according to Rick McCallum. Plus The Force Unleashed video game that will cover the time between Episodes III and IV.

1. George has said he is done.
2. The last film didnt make 7 billion dollars. Either that is a lie, you are misinformed, or you're an idiot.
3. The only place that seems viable for rumors is a website run professionally by a 15 year old kid who just hopes another star wars movie is made.
4. They have a TV show in the works but no plans for a movie whatsoever.
5. Look on IMDB if you have any question about the authenticity. If IMDB doesn't have it. It's not real.

really? thanks sherlock, but there's two problems with your conclusion. one, george lucas IS NOT making another star wars. it's possible another person may build off the series, but george lucas will only be giving them the rights, if he does at all. and also, it's really simple to recreate that beginning. i could do it with imovie in like 10 minutes.

Personally the title should be Heir to the Empire! and it should tell the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn!

I don't know if it is real or not but I definitely gets you excited. I'm pretty sure George Lucas said that he is finally at peace with the Star Wars saga. There are 3 more episodes though. He said he will leave it up to his children to make those if they wish. So I wouldn't be surprise to see the last 3 episodes befoe 2030 or before that.
