On the DVD subtitles from Discovery AND the adoption kit I got both say as Chemuk. Except on the back of 1 of the dvds it shows Kamots name as Kamutz. I don't know why they would both misspell it.
This video is amazing. I watch it and every time I do I cry.
I was obsessed with the Sawtooth Pack when "Living With Wolves" Came out, and I followed their story since the beginging.
Kamots and Chemukh where by far my favorite, and When I heard that Kamots had died, I put a grave for him in my back yard. Honestly. He was my favorite, and I loved him, dearly.
I love aerosmith and wolves also! and no I was not trying to out do you with those aerosmith converse shoes. I really would camp out to buy them! :) lol
Thanks for posting this. It is a lovely tribute to Kamots and Chemukh. I was fortunate enough to volunteer with this pack twice in 2 consecutive years while they were both still alive. With the changing of caretakers, and the unfortunate loss of control by Jim Dutcher, there were many more deaths in this pack. It is so very sad and your video brought me to tears. Thanks for helping to immortalize them on YouTube.
How wonderful that you were able to volunteer with this pack while Jim was caretaker.I sponsered "Amani",did you meet him?Unfortunate is right that Jim lost control as caretaker of this magnificent pack...I have some truely sad news, the Nez P.tribe that took over as caretaker of the pack in Idaho is in part responsible for the killing off of another pack.I could not believe it when I found that out,but after some digging,it was indeed the truth. Thanks Tatorbird1 for volunteering with the pack.
What a beautiful video and song to go with it. I'm so sad to hear that Kamots died and Chemukh disappeared. I only came across the documentary by accident and found it absolutely wonderful. Wolves are such glorious creatures and you have done Kamots and Chemukh a lovely tribute. I will be saving this forever. Thank you. Michele
havent I already commented on this video? its just so beautiful i watch it ever freakin time!!
nevermind, I still love the wolves with all my heart, and This video have such strong spirit of wolves. I really love it the song goes perfect with the wolves.
Dude, wait. I knew Koomatz died, and I imagined he was overthrown, but he was outcast with his mate? That fills my heart with sadness. Where can I read more about the story????
Look at this gray one at 3:04 with the snow on his nose!
I love those mysterious creatures and I shit on the graves of all "civilized" people torturing and murdering wolves because those morons believe in faerytales yet........
Your video is so touching! I just love wolves -- Bless them all! It was the work of Jim and Jamie Dutcher, and the Sawtooth Pack, that really ignited my passion for their kind. Their book, 'Living with Wolves' is one of my favorites! It sure is a shame about Chemukh (The 'Black Lassie').
one of the best wolf videos i have ever seen. the song is so beautyful and the wolves make me wonder and dream more and more about them. so beautyful creatures they are. love your video so much, its going in my favorites and it gets 5.
i have to say we need to help the wolves out and others animals we all need one and other with out the wolves or other animals it well effects us not today maybe tomorrow if we shot other people it would be killing some one it is the same thing we need animal to help out the balance of the world and we should recycle what we can to save the world and all
where do you live? not personaly but country. it must be a beautyful sighs and they are some of the MOST wonderful animals i have ever seen! you lucky to see them around you, here where i live there arent any wild wolves at all :'(
Nice video! The amazing documentary "Living with Wolves" by Jaime and Jim Dutcher will be on Discovery again on Feb 02, 6:00 pm.
Meanwhile, watch "The Truth About Aerial Hunting of Wolves in Alaska" on YouTube. Hunters are killing wolves in Alaska by shooting them with shotguns from airplanes!
Please go to defenders dot org and sign the petition to support the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act that will close the federal loophole that allows Alaska's brutal aerial hunting program. Thanks.
I own the book "Living with Wolves" but I haven't got round to reading it yet. I've read the intro. I will watch the rest of this video when I've finished it. ^^
