If you guys are getting 170 mph with 2400 hp. then that's incredible!! No doubt MTI's are beautiful high performing boats, i would never knock that. This MTI is one sick ride!!! For your next video, no music! We all want to hear the screaming motors; that's music to our ears.

Where are the engine air scoops? In front of the windscreen? How fast would it run with 1800hp turbines? Beautiful boat great size for offshore. I like the walk-in canopy boat that Gary College designed with Skater. Can MTI do something like that?

i don"t think this 48' mti does170mph!! not with 1200 hp mercs. my friend has a 36 skater with 1250 mercs. and his top speed is 165. yea get rid of the music!! the real music is the sound of the motors.

@billmart67 .Then something most be wrong with the Garmin its acutely shows 170 mph, its noting i can do with that, Mercs has never made a engine called 1250. The 1200 mercs is going on race fuels.

@billmart67 Powerboat Magazine tested Albert Haynesworth's 48' MTI with the DualFuel 1200SCi engines (exact same set-up on this 48') and topped out at 162mph with Havasu being like glass, the engines both turning 6,450 rmp with 38"-pitch props, both test drivers (BT & JT) said that there was plenty of power left in the engines, but all believe that 170mph is attainable. I don't think anybody would argue that it's a bitchin' boat; there's no doubt about it.
