I thought this movie was the official prequel of the Cloverfield movie. Cause I saw it on a blog that Super 8 is the prequel of Cloverfield. But Abrams denied it and said that this isn't a prequel to the movie Cloverfield!

This movie is like Jaws, E.T, and The Goonies combined. Jaws because of the suspense, E.t because of the Alien, and the Goonies because its kids out on an adventure. And its a coincidence that Spielberg had involvemnt in all those movie, haha

omg i just saw his movie yesterdayin theatre and it was one of the best movies ive seen all summer and im 17! the best movies ive seen this summer were fast five trasnformers 3D harry potter 3D and super 8!! super 8 is so similar to cloverfield :) it was awsome i loved all the kids great actors im so inlove with RYAN LEE!! he played kerry the fireworks kid hes sooo cute :) amazing movie cant wait to buy it on dvd hope theres a part 2 :)

Without a doubt, hands down THE best movie of 2011, and one of my new favorites. The replay value with this movie is insane. All the kids really play off each other well and the story, in and of itself, is a true homage to classic Spielberg flicks and very tightly presented.
