I have been following several initiatives for polutionfree cars, and i have to admit, this is the best car i have seen so far. I am planning to buy one, if it is allowed to drive with it in holland
@zaagmans1 So you want a 5 hp car with a 5 mile range? That's what an air car is after all this time and that's all it ever will be. A con for technically illiterate investers
Study - Physics, Math - all sciences and the more you do the more enjoyment you can get out of some of these videos - the air car - charge all day and go 3 feet - but, if you are not in a hurry!!! from a successful inventor and scientist - b
Ya know, wheels turn, turning creates electricity. If we could figure out how to charge a battery powered, lightweight car with the power produced by the 4 turning wheels (like a regular car charges a battery but more completely) couldn't we power the car by running it. I'll have to start doing some math but it seems possible. My dad did this once with a bike... I wonder.
O.K How does the electrical system work? does the air motor have an alternator on it? if not do we plug it in seperately with the compressor? Does it charge the battery first then pressurize the tank? I mean it has headlights? I dont see any solar panels. Why not? That could help the range also. I would like to buy a citycat2 when it becomes available, but i want to know more about how it works. A longer truck bed would be nice. Will refill airstations be built?
Hahaha ... how brain amputated one has to be to think that this shitty compressed air stupidity solves any energy problem??? Ah, because this shit doesn't emit CO2 when driving??? Ah, and who or what compresses the air??? Really, how brain amputated one needs to be.
And please, this shit is certainly no 'new technology' or "smart invention", but the latest rubbish from France that does not work. Please, Frenchies, do us a favor and cultivate wine!
I saw a video in their web site which stated that it fills up in about 3mins. I wonder how big of a compressor that is, do you know? it doesn't sound anything like the kind of compressor that the normal person have in their garage. mine is a 5gal and it takes about that time to fill up at about 120Psi.
The filling station are really air transfer stations. The compressor works to keep the station's air tanks filled to 300 bars (or more). When the car comes in to be filled, you are just transferring the air from the filling station's tanks into the car's air tanks. That takes 3 minutes, more or less the same as a regular gas fillup.
yeah, probably you give a shit about polluting the air. because certainly this compressed air stupidity emits more CO2 than a conventional car.
But for which stupid reason are you to assume that this shit would be any cheaper per km?? Or any practical?? I mean such a stupidity of car only can be built by French who don't think for a second.
At least in China they have clean technology's eh? : rolleyes: Can you hand me any schientific evidence about why air powered cars should produce CO2? And please, go and invent a car that passes the Euro NCAP crashtests.
Nope, in China, the word "clean" does not exist in China, but what's got this to do with this compressed air stupidity?? You want a "scientific" proof?? HIhihihi .... what makes you believe that these air stupidities should NOT produce CO2??? They do, and lots of it, as the air needs to be compressed to 4500 psi and they need electricity (or even worse oil) for the compressor. How more "scientific" does it need to be??? How dump can one be to say that this air car does not leave any CO2 ????
But the trick is, that when the power is concentrated on ONE point (like a compression of electricity station) , there is relatively less pollution. One big engine is more economical/ecological for producing energy than two engines half that size. Why? Because the thermal efficiency of large engines in higher than that of small engines.
No, not at all. The normal power plant has a degree of efficiency of around 35-38 %, which is very much the degree of efficiency of an internal combustion engine as well. And for compressing air you lose lots of energy (up to 60 %), as a lot of heat is dissipated in this process. Sorry, but this is the thermo-dynamical process of compressing a medium.
Actually, an internal combustion engine has an efficiency-rate of about 25 to 35 percent. You are on the way to disqualify yourself. Please, stop looking stupid. Loading a battery is almost equal to electrolysis.
Oh, now, I am the bad guy because I bash "inventions"??? hihihi ... as I told you this is NOT an invention! It is almost like in China, where also something or somebody is complete rubbish, but you are not allowed to criticize, otherwise the poor pussies will cry. Ooooooooohhh!
Too bad critics is the root of improvement. If you can't stand being criticized then think at least for a second and don't crave for publicity assuming that the ignorance of people is endless!
And one thing: the only is reason why you could call these soapboxes "green" is because they are built with plastic, light material and are fast as a duck. This has nothing to do with the concept of "compressed air". hahahaha ...who said that light materials are exclusive for so called "alternative cars"?? There is a VW that only burned 1 L per 100 km or 3 per 100 km. But nobody wanted to buy these cars, because they are more expensive, less safe, less powerful, less comfort, less, less, less.
Compressed air "technology" is the outbound of stupidity: Compressed air is a heavy way of storing energy. 300 litres (11 cu ft) of air at 30 MPa (4,500 psi) contains about 16 kWh of energy (the equivalent of 1.7 liters [0.44 US gal, 0.37 imp gal] of gasoline, assuming a 100% effic. of the engine). Many stupid people like you will blame it on "evil, evil oil companies" that no one will buy this crap. Obviously, nobody in this company made a thought about whether the concept makes sense or not.
E-cars are certainly better than any air stupidity, but they have they same problem: a very low energy:weight -ratio, compared to gasoline.
Anyway, I give a "shit". Buy it, if you are happy and feel that you "save the world" (hihi), because you won't. That's for sure! But please don't blame it then on any "evil, evil oil company". This would be stupid.
Nor is this "invention" any revolution. Nothing is new there! Old school!
The funniest thing I heard in one of these stupid "oh, we save the world" videos was that they said that they can use an onboard compressor to compress air (which woujld be, of course, powered by .... compressed air!!!). Hahahahahaha ... I mean one thing has to be said. French are very fuuunnnnyy!!!
It's clear to me you have a bit too much spare time on your hands.. Are you unemployed due to the economical crisis? Maybe you could spend some time thinking about solutions, rather than bashing inventions.
No, actually my time is much too precious to waste on monkeys like you. But I simply gazed in awe in the light of the extreme stupidity of wannabe "inventors" that cannot think for think. It is my curiosity in the sheer human stupidity that drives me to have this "conversation".
Well then, as a goodbye gesture, I want to give you some advice.
If you are sooo smart, then go on and invent something that will leave the world breathless.. (No, I'm not talking about some cole burning plant.. The other kind of breathless) When it comes to maintaining the planet, all you say is "hahahaha". Give me a break.
Although this is not the point and would not change the value or weight of my arguments against these air stupidity, but I am working in a project where technology is developed to contribute to lower emissions. But this takes more efforts and time, but is thought through.
That's why I hate stupid people or scammers (I think in the MDI case it is the former) that seek publicity and embezzle investors' money. Money real inventors would need!
Whatever you may say. It is a free world. Buy one of these "air Inventions" if you feel so and if you think that you are very "revolutionary" then. hihi. But first the company must be able to produce any of these stupid cars and live up to the claims they made. Hahahahah .... how laughable!!
But you expected any expertise from somebody with "Skoda" in his name.
Hahaha ... how brain amputated one has to be to think that this shitty compressed air stupidity solves any energy problem??? Ah, because this shit doesn't emit CO2 when driving??? Ah, and who or what compresses the air??? Really, how brain amputated one needs to be.

Research zero point energy and perpetual motion. Those go well with the air car.
Just like the air car, perpetual motion machines sound great, but never work.
The air car has limited range. MDI never lets anyone do independent tests. MDI has never delivered a single car.
But every year they make a new announcment about a new version which will be available "next year". Always 12-24 months away.
