She's a beautiful little girl. However, not to be mean, but there is not such a thing as a "teacup" designation for Maltese. With her being that small, you need to keep a close eye out for hypo-glycemia (low blood sugar from not eating enough). I would suggest keeping plain, white, Karo syrup in the house, in case you notice her going down. If she is going down, you can put some in your finger and rub it on her gums. I know what I'm talking about, as I have been breeding and showing Maltese for

Yea its a CUTE little teacup but these Teacup dogs have all sorts of health problems as they are not real dogs because they are designed to be teacup its not natural at all and they don't live long

There's no such thing as a teacup Maltese, it's just what they call the ones at the smaller end of the scale. These charming little dogs are a treasure, my wife & I love ours, but they are expensive, like a grand or more, unless you know someone that's got puppies and they just want to find a good home for them. Even then expect to pay several hundred dollars. I've seen them in pet shops for $1500+.

I'm sorry to tell you this but there are no such things as " teacup" Maltese's. Breeders breed the Maltese with a smaller dog and say it's a teacup to raise more attention and make more money. So if you paid more money for her, you got cheated out of your hard earned money. She is very cute though.

Thank you for all the nice comments about my puppy Lola. You can see what she looks like all grown up under Lola & Louis one year later. She is about 4lbs and beautiful and still swings her butt towards you when she wants to be picked up. Her brother Louis is about the same size and they are the cutest! I get her eyes clean by cleaning her face daily. Maltese do have alot of discharge. Angel eyes worked well when she was younger.

I did a lot of research about "teacup" dogs, what I found out is that they are really just premature unhealthy puppies. Please don't hate on my comment because before i actually found out I was just like everybody else, "They are so cute and small!!"

The words teacup and mini are just a ploy to make you pay more money for an unhealthy dog.

VERY healthy dog. she was well taken care of, ALWAYS playful and very attached to me. one day, she had a seizure, took her to the ER, and little by little her body started to shut down. :-( R.I.P Luna...i miss her like crazy!
