I miss Jordan too! I just got back May4...and when the plane was flying over I wanted to bawl. I hope to journey back..Loved the Cairo Cafe...I ate so much but walked a lot and after 3 days no more medication for my arthritis. I wasn't using my cane either. I was walking up and down and all around. And I lost weight, got a great color to my skin like golden. People at work thought I had gone to a spa! Now, back to work, taking meds and my weight coming back on...ugh! Stressed out again..oh well.
Hey guys. My mum, me and my sister want to go on all girl holidays discovering Jordan but my mum is afraid that because we are Christians we wouldn't be welcome or safe. Can you please tell me that we are ok to come? Because I am so excited about going there and seeing Petra! Thanks.
Totally dependant on the people you meet, you cannot say on behalf of Islam that you are welcome, as a lot of Muslimsare not keen on Christians, but as a general statement, you should be welcomed safely, and with no hostility.
JanaKubalova, no worries! Saying that Muslims are not keen on Christians is definitely a stereotype. There are tons of Muslims and Christians living all over the middle east together, especially in jordan peacefully. You don't have to worry at all!
You welcome sister. you're gonna be safe n comfortable. all arab countries are peacful and lovely. I'm really sad with the western media that distorted the image of arabs and Islam and I really wish you come and see how much safe is the middle east. all best wishes

Dear Jana... I was just in Jordan for 3 month's...in Irbid...
I am Christian and was very welcomed by the people there... regardless of the "confusion people have about Islam" and confusion comes from Satan...
Go and enjoy yourself...and learn the culture and the history... and try and go visit Jesus baptismal site...it's awesome....
Petra will blow you away!! Did you know that Petra is in Biblical prophesy for the end times?
Have a blessed trip... Salam... :.)
