In times past I've used the Unicursal Hexagram for the mark, I've used an equilateral cross with 3 lines on each of the four arms. This particular day I used only the equilateral cross. Generally I use a sharp razor and sterilize it by putting it in the candle flame. Whichever "mark" I use the main part I usually just scratch so it's red then really concentrate on the center just cutting enough to get it to bleed then sqeezing the area to get enough blood to soak into the Cake of Light.
hey, can you please tell me what exactly you use to make the mark and any other advise you might have concerning that aspect of the ritual? I have started doing it, but I have failed to get a good result in making the mark to soak the wafer with the sacramental blood.
This is a very beautiful ritual, I am wondering however what is the exact purpose of this ritual, what is it supposed to do for you?

East: Thurbil
West: Burin
South: candle
North: Cakes and Charcoal
NE: Bells
Balance and Harmony without and within.
