why does Geoff draw inspiration from the Bible? did God Himself "not repay evil for evil" when He flooded the world and murdered all men except Noah and his family? It has been said that Judaism does not need Christianity to explain its existence, but Christianity needs Judaism both to explain its existence and what it believes. @alr8ty the 'mistakes in Judaism' were commands from God. Stoning disobedient children to death, annihilating other races because the believed in a 'foreign god' etc were direct commands from God. The same God (trinitarian Jesus) is worshiped in contemparary Christanity. Besises annihliating other races is nothing comapred to His intention to torture billions of souls in the blistering falmes of an eternal hell - with no hope of parole or mercy - now theres a source to draw inspiration from...

Geoff, you are a better than i could ever be, i've read nearly all your books and watched your short films. I wonder though....talking about forgiveness?, could you geoff, forgive a man who kidnapped your child and repeatedly raped and abused her then left her for dead?. If you found the guy who done that, before the police, would you in all honesty walk up to him and shake his hand and say "i forgive you"?. Bearing in mind that todays judicial system is a joke.

They don't need your forgiveness (what goes around comes around), You need to forgive them for yourself to seperate that object to lift it from Your life. Anger will disipate and a sense of peace will instill itself within you.

I feel your anger, but with due respect, and i say that as a fellow human being, if you really listen to what Geoff is saying , and take those words, and the pure energy behind the language, then you should be able to understand the message. It's taken me 40 years to get a slight grasp on it, but i know that to project negative energy is negative. Not the easiest concepts to wrap your head around, but an essential lesson to be learnt.

Forgiveness to pedophiles?? I'm sorry but the ONLY person that should be even be considering forgiving one is the victim. Even then the "forgivness" doesn't take away the crime to be repeated, those fuckers don't get locked up by being "forgiven". I think a little bit of grudge goes a long way, I think it's a good thing, without it we would have prisoners all over the place. There is a point where you say, I won't tolorate this insolence anymore.

i look at it like this, the people who molested me were caught and punished, sure i think they should have gone to prison for longer but, if i fill my life with hate and anger then i'm punishing myself i'm poisoning my life not theirs, i have "forgiven" them and now i'm free to be happy, they dont have any hold or influence over me anymore. You're right forgivness doesn't take away the crime and they should be punished in modern society that is not my role, others can do that better than me.

One thing I have come to realize is forgiveness isn't necessarily being the assailants friend again, but letting it go. Not giving up on your caution around that person but don't let it eat away at you.

ive always thaught this even as a kid. i dnt look at anybody with hate because it creates stress. what hes saying isnt about the pedophile but about the self. a woman close to me was abused by someone who was meant to care for her and i tell you shes a total wreck, anorexic, depressed, o.c.d. and a mega confidence problem. this is because she couldnt free herself from hate, fear and worry and  it ate her up. forgivness heals you hate or fear doesnt. lost mode of prayer is a great book.

Geoff thompson is a huge insparation to me. I've read watch my back a number of times, and im currently reading his book 'fear- the friend of exceptional people.' He is a very clever and interesting guy. I also own a book of his called 'red mist' yet again another amazing book. I suggest you read all three of them! The point he is trying to make in this video is understandable. Its helped me alot. After watching this video i look at things a different way. Thanks to geoff! keep up the work!
