  • This is wonderful, I have been listening to African Music for quite some time but in a somewhat limited devotion. I thought Ladysmith Black Mombazo was all I needed until I started watching the AZN network on cable. Try to catch Africa Journal and Africa Carte Blanche for very informative programs on African life, it is fascinating. Being caucasian I never thought I would feel Africa in my bones but there is something mesmerizing about that continent.

  • Wow I love african music.

  • This song is beautiful and power, but also tragic. In a very real way, it points to the income inequalities of South Africa and elsewhere.

  • Their music is so wonderful..I have all three of their albums. You can't help but be moved when they sing.

  • they r really good

  • this is how homeless form paul simon was meant to be! pure! good job. love this choir!

  • nothing can ever beat African choir music! carry on good work!

  • I love this......awesome! :.)

  • Fantastic!!!!!

  • Well done!

  • this is life

  • I love how gospel singers always sing so easily. It's nice

  • they are great singers. i think the line around 1.57 is "strong wind, strong wind, many dead tonight it could be you!"

  • I've been listening to this song for years on the "Return To Graceland" cd by Paul Simon. I love it. I always wondered who the people were that were singing. Thank you so much for this video. It was great and so is the director! God Bless All Of You!

  • Black Mombazo was th egroup I think.

  • This group (the Soweto Gospel Choir) wasn't on the Graceland album; that was Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

  • So beautiful!!!

  • Paul Simon did the original..awesome song whoever sings it!! Great!!

  • Did he write it? 'Cause it sounds like he got help from someone from Soweto (unless Simon knows Bantu well enough to write a song in it).

  • There are over 500 Bantu languages; the Zulu language (along w/ English) is the Bantu language you hear in this song, "Homeless". It was written by Ladysmith Black Mambazo founder Joseph Shabalala, with Paul Simon composing the English lyrics.

  • Over 500 Bantu languages. are you kidding me? where did you get those facts,With only 9 "Bantu" official languages in South Africa I shouldn't think we have that many languages. Other wise I just don't know what Bantu Languages are.

  • yhis is neat!!!:)
