@genithlol there is a fine transparent net (scrim) in front of the audience that the laser projects onto. they often use a water screen as well.

I doubt they'd ever carry anything like this. These are multi-watt projectors and those start around $8,000 and up unless you build them yourself to save a couple thousand which is what most laserists, like myself, do anyway.

but true if you look in a laser for one second the damage wil be diffrent than if you look into it for 10 minuts

@skinart1977 the ilda software use for programming this , has a special ability so when the laser will scan down in poeple´s face it lowers output of TTL moduled diods :)

It is admirable to be safety conscious. however your comments provide a false sense of danger in this video. You, I nor anyone else has *any* idea of powers used, scanning speeds, diameter of beams, W/cm2 calculations, Power measurements, distances, nor any other safety limiting factors. Your "no exceptions" to above the head scans is ompletely irrational also. there have been and will continue to be PLENTY of safe Audience scanning varianced shows in the U.S. and other countries.

@ctlasers I do not believe for a minute that they are 100% safe even at low powers. For me its 100% safe or nothing - Just the way i work, and its advisable for anyone to work in this way too. Even a small amount of laser energy is not good for the eyes. As reliable as projector control software is i would never put 100% faith in it. My RGY projector is only .5W (far less power than this setup i'd say) and i always set my physical scan angle up to be well above peoples heads

scanning into crowds like this is extremely dangerous, a laser workspace should be set above the heads of the crowd (no exceptions). This is a classic example of people having way too much money to spend on powerful lasers but don't know how to operate them safely. Its like someone with money who can't drive, goes out, buys the ferrari and ultimately causes harm. The crowd are getting a hell of a lot of laser energy into their eyes here

@XysteRST205 not strictly true, have you heard of MPE calculations, or varianced laser shows? it is legal, however not in the USA due to the FDA not allowing it. in europe crowd scanning is legal as long as laser power does not exceed 5mw/cm^2

i'd still say scanning into crowds is potentially extremely dangerous, i'd never rely on a DAC, software or the likes to govern laser power. I've seen some laser shows and when i compare them to what i know my lasers appearance/power to be (in similar ambient lighting) they are far brighter. As for MPE, most of the time during shows the lasers will exceed this given limit, even is its for a few microseconds is too much. Its potentially highly dangerous to eyes, no matter what anyone says.
