hey there...if I had a request it would probably be Not The Red Baron. it's a pretty tricky song to play but it hits the soul to the core and is one of my alltime favorites for sure. I don't play it too much myself on piano unless Im depressed hehe. is your dad's name Charlie Brown?? Boys For Pele will always be the ultimate standard to which all music is measured against in my book. nothing can or ever will top it.
@nottheredbaron Sure, one I never mastered (or attempted really)! What does it mean to you? I never really got it, but like all her work, it's very hard to pin and you just insert your meaning. Yes, my dad's Charlie Brown and was born BEFORE the character AND our neighbors had a black and white dog named Snoopy when I was born and he lived in a wooden doghouse, so it kills me to hear the references! I once thought of which album I'd say is Tori's best and most representative and Pele was it.
That was so cool, I've never seen that before. I love how you harmonized Tori's vocals into playing on the piano. It's like I can hear her singing it. So cool!
Thank you so much! I've been told by music professors that I have an exceptional "touch", meaning I make the piano "sing" rather than play and bring the song through. I started piano by ear, so I think that made a huge difference. I had an interest in making the piano sound like what I heard, rather than just what was on a page.
