At the time when I was following the bike I wouldn't say it was reliable in most cases, more like 50/50.
Please don't force the "good maintenance" line to me as I did what I could my end to no avail. Considering the bike stopped working after 1 hour of owning it from brand new I have to say it had nothing to do with maintenance. A bike garage I took it to had no idea what was wrong with it and the supplier support was even worse than the bike. I'd just save up a bit extra and avoid the risk.
to answer the questions the jinluns are cheap and most cases reliable as with all makes and models you get the odd rogue bike, very simple maintenance will keep the bike running and in good condition i have had a few and love them i would still have if they made some with bigger engines
some say say these jinluns falls to pieces, some say they are brill....god knows...im just after a cheap 125 chopper, so when my insurance comes down in 3 years i can buy a harley or yamaha virago 535!!
well i am just like you and i have bought jinlun-11 and soo far is so good excelent bike for the value i paid 625 paunds for 06 plate i am very happy with it.
Thanks for posting this video. Just passed my CBT and am looking for 125cc something. Jinluns are advertised in the Uk as being cheap to buy. But not sure if reliable :(
Following a number of problems with the bike cutting out I sent it into a bike shop to be looked at. It came back turned up that high and when I lowered it, it cut out again - and yes that's after warming up, with fuel additives & premium petrol. The video was to show on Ebay that the bike worked. The bikes themselves plus the dealer support are crap.
Yeah damn right, it's ticking over far too fast. This can be adjusted, usually on the right side of the bike near your knee...there will be a little screw thing that you can twist anticlockwise to reduce.
Dammit dan you must of been dissapointed man that blows . better luck on your next bike

turn the idle down!! with a slower idle you get more mpg and better response at the throttle.

it's an jinlun 125-11 because the 13 has flame graphics and the 11 has foot plates thats how you can tell the diffrents :)

The only similarity on the 13 is the engine. I've owned both bikes.
