More Lindbergh songs to add to the list ! It's amazing so many were written about this event. It was a great time to be proud of America. Now we are abandoning our space program.
I have a roll called Lucky Lindy. The lyrics go something like "Lucky Lindy up in the sky, fair or windy he's flying high! Dearest ,nearest he knows every cloud, the kind of a son makes a mother feel proud.
Wonderful rolls! All sentiments that are routinely scorned today! That generation saw far more progress than anyone born in the last 60 years will ever see! Things were happening in the 20's for the first time in the history of human existence!
@VictrolaJazz The industrial revolution was just getting going and the technology advancements in WW! were put into civilian life. The 20's indeed were a time of great advancement and joy, but also a time of great human misery, with two economic depressions.
