John L. worked at making one distinctive enough for the sloth in the Ice Age series...

@HalfDemonInu because most male VAs can't hit the pitch that is needed for the character. Unless you scout a young boy. Other than that, we have a pitch that basically remains the same. I'm no professional but I do fan voicework.

Dexter (from Dexter's Laboratory) is voiced by a woman

Ash Ketchum (from pokemon) had 2 female voice actresses- the latest one is also a very hot fashion model (I've seen the pictures).

I'm a guy, but I've voice acted as females before.

It's the voice type that matters; you didn't realize Naruto's VA was a woman until now did you?

That'd be sweet, but you'd have to follow in the footsteps (sound waves or whatnot) of the Japanese. Forget American dubs. They're horrible in almlost every situation.

The first beast that comes to mind is the guy who did Nnoitra's voice in Bleach (not American).

Okay, for one alot of Japanese voices DO NOT FIT THE CHARACTERS (i.e. Goku being voiced by the same woman even in his adult years, Ikki's JP voice) when in fact MOST American versions have voice actors that fit their characters. And 3rd Judging by the way you Misspelled Nnoitora shows me you probably watch fansubs which are illegal, so ya and I also perceive that you're a sub fan-boy or whatnot (dont judge, i'm both US and JP)
