I'd like to get hear more about these H2 but every demo on youtube is done by some awful band like Anthrax. It would be nice to hear it recording something that wasn't done by some ageing band off a hormonal teenager's wall.

i totally agree. this tiny thing is an amazing timesaving investment for any band, aspiring or professional, to have to produce respectable demoes aso. definitely worth the price(dunno, c. 250-300€)

the zoom H2 is a great bit of kit, bought one a few months back to record jam sessions with the band, the sound quality is very good for what it is, certainly beat the old dictation machine i used in the early 90's

i would recomend the h2 for rehearsals and for reference. if you want to cut some sort of demo, i would not so much recomend it for that, altough it will work (provided you record everything live - it's not a multi track recorder). if you do use it for a demo, one thing that works decently, is to just sing directly into the h2 and it will ust pick up everything else. that way you're not singing through a noisy p.a. hope this helps! send me a messege, cause i have more to tell you lol :)

In truth it's a seemingly simple mod but would even be a challenge for someone of my skill level, simply due to the circuit ribbons and wires being so delicate. Personally, I would make a T and keep the front mics the way they are for focused recordings and use the T insert for the rear mics after changing their axis for more dynamic recordings. The thick, focused recordings allow for live sessions to be used for studio grade tracks, that's incredibly useful and you may regret modding all 4.
