I always exercise the cyclic (forward - back - left - right) and tail (left - right) before take-off
At the same time - the more you move the stick - you can 'see' and 'feel' and 'hear' the forces (also helps when lifting in to a breeze)
Before my first Boeing flight - I saw the captain outside checking the flaps - by grabbing them and waggling them with his hands - making sure they were still firmly 'attached' - that stuck in my mind
Just wanted to say thanks. Your explanation of the tail/gyro mechanics put me back in the air after nearly giving up on this hobby due to not getting my heli tail right. Thanks a bunch!
I have been looking for this video for days....Thank You!!! I do have one question. After the gyro intialization should the tail blades be straight up and down or angled slightly to counter the CCW spin? Yours are straight as are mine, but I haven't read how they should be setup.

you can't bind a Spektrum Tx with another brand of 2.4Ghz Rx. It does not work that way. manufacturer's Rx's and Tx's are not interchangable.
