The Greek Heritage Society of Southern California is proud to announce the premiere of part 2 of its documentary, "The Promise of Tomorrow 1940-1960." "The Promise of Tomorrow" was narrated by Olympia Dukakis. The much anticipated premiere is scheduled for November 12, 2009, at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills. Our Master of Ceremonies will be John Aniston.
Was a great and touching video. It brought a tear to my eye knowing that the Greek flag was flown next to the American Flag. It was good to see the children dressed in authentic Greek folk costumes. Keep the films coming
Thanks everyone for viewing our doc. Getting responses from all over the world! We are so close to reaching our goal, now- (15K)- to get back into the studio!!! "There is no such thing as a small donation." Every penny counts. Thank-you so much to all those supporters who helped. We welcome any new supporters. We know you're out there! Efcharisto!
This is indeed moving and involving. I have never felt quite as I did when visiting Greece. Always one who admired Greek music, architecture and the joie de vie of its people I knew only from afar, I found myself completely blown away when actually viewing the Acropolis up close, the roosters at that time in Athens, learning there were 4 systems of running water in Crete's ruins...I hated to leave every spot we visited. Enchanting, completely. Hail back, and great luck on completing!
this is a beautiful video, thank you so much for uploading it, the video makes me think of my YaYa and Papau who were very important people in my life. My Papau was my hero because him and his family fled Constantinople because the Turks were killing them and he fought in World War 2 he was my hero, and my YaYa used to make loukamades, lamb, dolmades, and instilled Greek culure I enjoyed the video thank you
