It's not a particular amount of defense. You need 490 defense to be uncrittable by boss level mobs. To be uncrushable you need to have 102.4% combined miss/dodge/parry/block.

However, the term uncrushable becomes irrelevant after patch 3.0.2, since crushing blows from raid bosses get removed.

if you were a paladin, you would also add 30% to your block when adding this all up due to holy shield always being up

ya once u get uncrit/uncrush on a pally it sorta sucks cuz then u avoid so much damage..i recently regeared still uncrit/uncrush but i got my block rate to 25% unbuffed so that i take more damage instead of dodge/parrying it more..it really helps on mana too

Our epic'd paladin died on this. HOW THE HELL DO YOU WIPE ON ATTUMEN? Luckily I picked him up before our healers died [in greens/blues].

There is one problem I now have on Attumen: He does no damage at all. I end up having no mana and aggro can be an issue. I should really start sitting down during the fight so he can crit me.

Blessing of wisdom helps a little with that, but honestly if a boss just isn't hitting me hard enough I will occasionally switch over to my sporegar defender with a shield spike, it helps to increase agro (a small amount admittedly), moderately increase my damage increased and as such, increase the heals I receive. Just an idea

Take off your pants like the rest of us. If that's not enough, take something else off.

Worst case scenario- stop refreshing HS, eat a crush and put it back on. That's what i do on pretty much all of Kara but Prince and Nightbane.

Although taking off gear would also lower my spelldamage, hence making it a bit counterproductive in another area. Also, eating a crush on Attumen is still only like 2k damage. It doesn't help, infact... HS is a pretty mana-efficient source of threat. That may also be counterproductive.

Now, I just use the Exalted Black Temple trinket and the Al'ar trinket. They increase threat by enough that being somewhat mana starved isn't really a problem.

Eh? Nope, it was filmed very recently, on the newest patch at the time of posting. Everyone was level 70, and indeed would have to be, as Karazhan isn't available before level 70 (and doing the attunement quest which requires being level 70 to get). The damage isn't that high because Attumen and Midnight are pathetic.

Eh... Always have Devotion Aura and Righteous Fury active, judge Crusader and then seal/judge Righteousness. Upkeep Holy Shield while tanking, use Consecration (mana permitting), Exorcism (if Undead/Demon), and use Avenging Wrath if it's an important or aggro sensitive pull.
